College review

Xaviers is one of the best colleges in mumbai. It teaches students their way to live their life. It not only gives us education but experience. Overall it is a good college for a quality education. The college holds 40th place in terms of excellence all over India. It was 4th place in the previous year.

The department is so experienced and well developed and has every required criteria for students. They take us to regular field trips and the staffs guide us properly. They teach us very kindly and with patience.

The college doesn't provide any internship programme. But they support us to get some internships in the institutions where they provide internship courses. The head of the department is well supportive.

Until now they doesn't have any placement and job opportunities in our college. Especially our department. We dont have any campus interview until now. May be in future we could expect it. Our college is autonomous, talk is going on about changing it to a university.

The biggest event in our college is called MALHAR which will happen once in a year. Then the TRADITIONAL DAY. As I told before, our college has diverse students and everyone will wear their own traditional outfits. These two are the major events and there are so more small events which happen as well.

The fees structure in terms of college is absolutely cheap. It is actually 15000 per semester. But when it comes to food and accommodation it is not at all cheaper. It will cost around 150000 per year for food and accomodation.

The college is very supportive and consious about extracurricular activities. They equally balance education and extracurricular activities. Lots of sports eventsbhas been conducted. In fact there are so many bollywood stars and cricters are from our college.

The hostel infrastructure and facilities are too good. The hostel has a lift facility. For washing there are two washing machines in two floors. The drinking water quality is good and most importantly the hostel is located in the college campus itself.

The senior students are very helpful, if help is asked to them, they never hesitate to help their juniors they are very informative as well. Basically i have never been in contact with the alumini people so i have no idea about them.

In a semester we have two CIA which is together 40 marks and the semester exam holds 60 marks. So totally per semester it is for 100 marks. We have four papers per semester and each paper has practicals as well. For practicals each subject holds 50 marks which is 200 for four subjects.

The admission is entirely based on merit and they have reservation system as well.And they have 50% reservation for christian minority students.The application is through online.once applied we will three consecutive lists of selected students.if you are eligible for the admission your name will be listed in one of those merit lists.

As i said before the faculty of the college is good. But some of the faculties are not regular for classes. Other than that there is no issues in the way they are teaching and their experience as well.
