Remarks

Management still needs to improve. Students try to help each other in their way,and trying to increase band between them .It needs specially when you manage something.

Entrance Preview

I scored 121/200 in MHT CET and got mechanical engineering in second cap round.I found that mechanical has good scope and better future.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty is good.Teachers help students in academics.Classes are arranged and handled properly by respective teachers.I feel its good to be comfortable.

Internships Opportunities

Tata,John Deere,Godrej,Castrol etc.I have done internship without any stipend.Many MNC's come to college,they select the person with knowledge & having 60% criteria.

Placement Experience

Almost 35% out of class get selected in campus recruitments.More than 40% students can't be selected because they they don't fit in 60% criteria.

College Events

Shivanjali,Shivdarpan,Engg.Day Competitions.Above events are arranged annually.Most of the students take part in any event according to their interest.It is good competition and provides some fun time to students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Open 1lacobc 50 thousandsc.st 8 thousandFor open/obc candids,it still feels very expensive. It not looks like fair.Approximately every college in pune has same condition.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan facility is offered to students which are unable to pay.Some banks which are sponcered give such facilities to the students mainly from rural areas Our college does with bank of Maharashtra.

Campus Life

Last year our college has won Mindspark trophy which is given by coep pune.Our college has potential to do something which has not achieved.Yet it is local but our students will prove it someday.

Hostel Facilities

Good quality but expensive.Eatable food with variety like chienese,Indian are available.I prefer dal roti or pulav generally.Quality is superb but one can't afford because it is still not economical.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

No such contacts.On annual functions in college,some alumni come and share there experiences about life,college,company etc.I am not certainly aware of any such network, still it may have.

Exam Structure

According to pune university,the pattern is fixed.But it also changes year wise.We can't surely conclude about any fixed pattern.We currently having 30-70 pattern set by university.

Faculty

Faculty is good .Teachers help students in the academics. They arrange the classes and do their job.Students also try to get some thing new always.I feel it is OK.

placements start in 7th - 8th semester . Companies like wipro cisco and TCs etc visit. Average package is 4-5 LPA , and highest I could say 9 to 10 LPA .. my plans would be- if not got high paying job on campus I will try off campus too..

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Admission: I had also applied for top colleges of Pune with tech related branches but the main reason I can't get their is due to high cutoff of colleges I had applied for top colleges like VIT Pune,PCCOE Pune ,PICT Pune ,D.Y.Patil Pune etc and through cap process depending on my percentile I get my current college AISSMS IOIT Pune and I confirmed for these I sorted the colleges depending on some parameter like last year cutoff, placement percentage, autonomous or not etc My college is in Maharashtra so around 80% of seats given to the students who are admitted through Maharashtra state entrance exam for engineering that is MHTCET and remaining 20% are seat are for candidates who admitted through JEE MAIN score so most students peffered MHTCET Exam for admission in our college The overall addmission process is like after declaration of result student make list of colleges and branches those he want to take that list is in a sequential manner then student had to upload that list on portal of MHTCET after 2-3 day result of that list comes and the college which is allocated seen to us then it depend on us that we want to confirm that college and branch or go for next round total 3 rounds are take place in that process and after confirmation of college reporting has been done offline to the college for final addmission process...Read More

Reviewing the journey up till now !!

I gave several exams and cracked them , but due to some or the other factor , I couldn't choose any other college. Due the ongoing CBSE boards, I couldn't register for MHTCET which is apparently a state exam for MAHARASHTRA . You can opt for different colleges in MAHARASHTRA after giving this exam.
