Remarks

The college provides support for all curricular and extra curricular activities. It also helps in improving the leadership abilities of the students as most of the activities that take part in the college is headed by students.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Now Iam a first year student and I felt that so many portions in my syllabus will not benefit me in my future life. I suggest to replace these portions with more practical chapters. I also think that most of the assignments are not at all useful.

Internships Opportunities

Yes. But as Iam a first year student I have no direct experience with it. I knew that , many senior students are having internship during their vacations. College directly provides many internship programmes which really benefit the students.

Placement Experience

4

The placement cell of the college is working excellently. Almost 50 percentage of the passed out students are placed at various companies. Many students also got admission for higher courses such as M-tech and MBA at prestigious institutions.

College Events

5

Many events take part in the college. First of all, there will be college election evert year and following that will come sports and arts events. The major events are the techfest and cultural fest. Also there will be inter department games and also union games.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is feasible for all students as many scholarships are given to students from low economic background. Also most of the students are given free hostel rooms and good quality foods at low rate.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students coming from low economic background are given scholarships in the name e-grands which will benefit them to pay the mess fees and to buy academic equipments. This scholarship gives them a good support in the studies.

Campus Life

5

Iam perfectly happy with the extra curricular activities that take part in the college. There will be labs or workshops twice a week. Many sports and games take part in the college and also there are training camps for most of the games.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels in the colleges are designed in such a way that the students are given all necessary facilities in a smooth manner. Each rooms are equipped with sufficient number of fans and lights. Each student gets enough space in the room for comfortable study.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the alumni network of the college is really strong. The alumni foundation helped in improving the college library building and provided many books for the library. Seniors are very helpful as they give us their valuable feedbacks about the college.

Exam Structure

The total course of four years is divided into eight semesters. Each semester consists of two internal series examinations and one external final examination. The internal exams are for 20 marks and externals are for 100.

Admission

After 12th class, I wrote the entrance examination and got a good rank that helped me to grab my position in this college. Fortunately I got 95% mark in my 12th class which also stood as a benchmark for my admission. I opted Thrissur govt engineering college as my second choice and got admission at the first allotment itself.

Faculty

3.5

Most of the faculties are very helpful and are good companions in the studies , and also supports the co curricular activities. But I felt some teachers are not even 50% committed to their profession as they always show a disgust towards us.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
