Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course covers all the subparts under biology which gives an idea of every subject during the undergraduation in the field of biology. This influenced me to take this field. The curriculum is mainly based on research work and prepares us in the field of drug research and helps us to find cure to many unresolved problems. India needs to improve in this field and focus on it as it will become the future of India sooner or later. The exams are conducted semester wise every 6 months and the difficulty level of the exam is moderate.

Internships Opportunities

3

Different companies like GarudaUVA, Wipro, Concentrix, DeltaX, Royal Bank of Scotland have offered internships in our college. I am a first year student so I still don't have much idea about the stipends they offered. Campus placement drives are conducted by different companies every year. Different seminars are conducted by various reputed companies like Unacademy, Adda 247.

Placement Experience

3

Students are eligible for campus placements from the first semester itself. Recently, a company called GarudaUVA visited our campus for students from Computer Science department. I am not sure about the packages offered by the company yet. The percentage of students getting placement is fairly enough and I'm planning to do masters in one particular biology field after this degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year my fees is going to be ?25334 and it is constant for the duration of the course for general, OBC, SC and ST category. However for PWD, the course fee is reduced to 2555. The college has a Student's Aid Fund called SAKSHAM which renders financial aid to needy and deserving college students. There are also many scholarships awarded to students such as D.C Arora Scholarship, Best Student Silver Jubilee Award, Science Meritorious Award etc. All in all the fees is pretty affordable and there are multiple scholarships offered by the college for deserving candidates.

Campus Life

5

There is an annual fest called Leiothrixx conducted every year around the month of April. Every department also has a fest of their own usually around February like Cathexis for Biomedical Sciences. The library is huge and has a large collection of printed handbooks and ebooks available. Every classroom has a smartboard and a projector along with the blackboard for better understanding of certain concepts. The college has various sports teams like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton and participates in Intercollege and interdepartmental games. There are also different societies in college like the theatre society (Dhwani), debating society (Tark), music society (Dhun) and many more.

Admission

I applied to other colleges under Delhi University like Daulat Ram College, Deshbandhu College, Hansraj College and others. However this college and particularly this course was my first preference and this college offered it the best so I chose this college over others. I did not receive rejection from other colleges as this one was on my first preference. The admission in this college or any college in Delhi University occurs via the CUET entrance test which is a national level examination conducted every year by NTA for 12th and 12th pass students. The cutoff for this exam depends for what course you're applying. For eg- for B.A, B.com the cutoffs are higher compared to that for B.Sc.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is good but for some departments it's unequally distributed. The relationship between student and the faculty is good, the faculty is supportive on both academic and non academic aspects and are easily approachable for any problem. I liked Dr. Rajesh Chaudhary as he was a great teacher who gave valuable lessons to us while keeping us disciplined throughout the semester. The best faculties include Dr. Rajesh Chaudhary, Dr. Rajeev Ranjan, Dr. Ritu Khosla. I personally didn't like Dr. Sunita Jetly. The exams are conducted every 5-6 months on semester basis and the level of difficulty is moderate. Mostly students are able to pass the exams except the few. The course is extremely relevant to the curriculum.

Night Life

4

The college doesn't offer cafeterias, library or public areas after college hours. The college doesn't support hostel facilities yet. The campus timings begin from 8.45 am. Hangout places outside the college include Kalkaji Mandir, Lotus Temple, Iskcon Temple etc. The locality is safe to roam at night.

Other Applied Colleges

Daulat Ram College - [DRC] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Life Sciences)

I got admission in my first preference college that is ANDC so I did not have to opt for another one.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was preparing for CA also that's why I opted for Bcom, rest no other factors. But the curriculum of the college was best. They covered our whole syllabus on time. Everything was just perfect. There's semester system at my time. Every year we have 2 semester exams and you can clear the exam if you have studied everything your teacher taught. Examination level was moderate only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum itself is offered under delhi University is the biggest pro of this college I liked the aspect that it tries to capture the essence of holistic development by introducing skill enhancement courses, value addition courses and ability enhancement courses It also facilitates dynamic learning experience by offering the courses from different departments such as general electives I still believe that there is a space for improvement in the applicability of this course in the real world as the world is growing at a fast paced and we need to prepare ourselves with everything we can Intership opportunities, live projects of certain subjects , increased field trips and introduction of ai courses Frequency is good ,1 per semester which helps students to take on different ventures also and the difficulty level is mixed depending upon the subject but ranges from moderately easy to difficult

Course Curriculum Overview:

There's no such specific aspect to be very honest, I was clear since my 12th standard only that I'll be doing BCom hons in my undergraduation. The core subjects provides you valuable knowledge for sure but there's nothing to learn from AEC, SEC and VAC subjects (they are useless). I think teachers should start focusing more and like in my 3rd semester, there are 2 teachers for each of my core subject, this should be eliminated because it creates confusion among students. Exams usually ends in 1 month and mostly my exams were in the morning shift which is 9:30-12:30 but it gets difficult during winters to reach to college on time and sometimes you have to wait too for 20-30 minutes outside for the gate to open.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I think there's too much unnecessary subjects given in the name of VAC and SEC and AEC becuae the options are completely irrelevant to the course. I'm a bcom student why will I study political science or hindi. If it's important to have these many subjects then give us subjects which are relevant to our course. There's mandatory EVS subject too and I think I have learned all that thing already in school so there's no need to study that.
