Course Curriculum Overview

4

The aspects that it deals with the industry kind of influenced me into this course and the practicals performed are also something that attracted me to this course as it is very fun and informative at the same time. The practicals performed in college are taken in accordance so that our real world experience gets naturals full filled. I would suggest software part in curriculum to be taken more seriously. As alot of students face problems in that. Overall the relationship between syllabus and practical part is good . Also the timing of exams and curriculum matches really well as it doesn't get hectic

Internships Opportunities

4

Theres something called microsoft outlook this is given to all the students of COEP its basically college email id given to you where yo receive all the official college mails regarding scholarship , webinars , seminars and internships aswell . Recently we received a mail regarding europe embassy of finance management and IIT roorke internship regarding ai for machine learning and applied for it as it is in my interest and i got selected as well . Projects are departmental thong once you are in second year you have a subject regarding micro project are the level goes as as you go in next year .

Placement Experience

5

The placements offered by COEP are simply great. The percentage of placements in overall department is from 72 to 100% . The student are eligible as they get in 2nd year . The companies that visited are wipro , infosys, mircosoft and core companies like tata motors, mahindra, Bajaj auto , emerson, asian paint , bosch. Bajaj even has there school of automobile openned in COEP. Highest package is 87 LPAand the average package is 12 LPA. You only need skills to crack the interview percentage does matter in some height the minimum percentage required is 65-70 . As COEP offers best placements I planned on getting campus placement as well

Fees and Financial Aid

My name is Shravani Sutar and i m currently pursuing my degree of instrumentation and control Engineering in COEP Technological University Pune. I am a direct second year student, and my fee for this yr was 125480 as I belong to OBC also I m hostelite and hostel fees 55000 including mess fees 7000 other expenses apart. My batchmate belongs to SC category and her fees are 13000 ,hostel and mess fees are equal . I have currently applied for scholarship named AICTE Pragati scholarship for girls which provides 50000 a year we have to apply every year for it

Campus Life

5

Overall experience is cool and fun also very knowledgable . by the time you will understand if you don't initiate or speak up you won't be able to enjoy the journey as the competition is large. there are alot of technical as well as non technical club in coep . Technical club named robotics club , drone club , space and research club also psf pune startup fest. And nontechnical clubs are political club , cultural club . Also every year events such as IMPRESSION , ZEST, GATHERING has their own club which are quite fun if you are part of it my roomate is in impression and as per her its the best club to be in as IMPRESSSION is a international event that takes place in coep.ZEST is a clun for indoor and outdoor sports. Also COEP has its own big library open all the time for students and also book bank .

Hostel Facilities

5

HOSTEL faculty is superd no doubt they try everything to keep us safe and sound they check on us regularly and if we have problem regarding anything we just have to contact them. Soo rooms are provided to you based on your merit list and then u are given choice to choose btw rooms . Quality of meal is also best menu is days wise so that we dont get bored and on sunday lunch we have fest and evening we are given off to eat outside. Registration for this was asked during admission itself. they fill out the form for admission . Even if u rented pg its good the environment here is guite safe for girls my own friends are living in pg its surrounded by many food stalls stationaries and many needed shops . So overall its good

Admission

The reason i choose this college is my father and my brother , and the amount of rich education this college provides , number of opportunities this college gives is just immense we cannot compare it to any other colleges. While i applied to COEP I also applied to VJTI but they didn't had instrumentation and control course program that i wanted. Hence it was obvious COEP was best out of all. Admission process in COEP is quite systematic first it's online after online cap round if the college is allotted to you , you have to confirm it within a date given, then starts your offline admission which is also quite simple and not hectic just you need proper documents available with you . Fees as well you can pay in installments I applied of pict pune vjti but as COEP was my first Preference and I had good grades i got coep in my first attempts No i didn't got rejected in any college. As I already mention admission process first after 12th you have to give a exam called MHCET after the results you fill a online cap rounds form according to your merit u get allotted and being allotted to COEP you reserve the seat by offline admission

Faculty

There's no such faculty student ratio if a student has doubt regarding respective subjects we can meet that respective professors. Some professors are likely approachable and some don't. Personally I like meera ma'am who teaches Advance Control system and chaskar sir who teaches Digital electronics. The reason why I like them is because they are full of energy, their energy is very welcoming and contagious and they make each and every student feel comfortable about themselves. There's one professor patil sir it's not like I don't like him but it's just he is not so into his lecture. Soo basically in whole year there are 4 exams in total (theory) , in year there are 2 sem , each sem has 1 mid sem of 30 marks and 1 end sem of 60 marks rest 10 marks are TA teachers assessment. Exams can be easy as well difficult depending upon the subject and faculty. Invigilation is quite taken seriously here. For students who fail there's one reexam conducted.

Night Life

5

my favourite hanout spot is definetly the caves and jm corner which is just 2 min away from girls and boys hostel. Also theres cafeteria named fussion which is simply great to chill out with your friend its a perfect little cozy place to have a cup of chai with you friends and many dishes. i personally end my day in fussion . Also theres gym in girls as well boys hostel which is open 24/7 , so fussion closes at 11pm till that you can even order the thing you want. So basically boys does not a specific in time but girls do regular days the in time is 9 pm and on sunday its 10 also if theres event going on in college the in time gets extended. famous hangout place is definetly meta canteen which on the side of main building campus also dagdusheth ganpati ,fc road and tulshi baag is quite near college so there are alot of places inside aswell as outside to hangout

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
