The schedule is hectic,too much assignments, tutorial etc
Some professor's may not teach their subjects properly

Course Curriculum Overview

The course I have taken is computer science and artificial intelligence, having a higher carrer opportunity It is good to have more practical experience than the theory class There are a total of 3 internal exams in a semester which will help us to know the topics thoroughly

Class Size: 67Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The companies that often visit are Infosys, TCS, cognizant, UST global, info park, Times of India etc Some of these companies offer paid internship opportunities The extra skilled ones will have internship with stipend

Placement Experience

The students could sit for placement from the early seventh semester The companies visited are TCS, Infosys, cognizant, info park, ust global , Times of India etc Sixty to seventy percentage of students are placed with a good package

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fee for management kotta is around one lakh twenty seven thousand(27000) Merit kotta will have a yearly fee of eighty five thousand (85000) Those who have financial aid will have an average fee of thirty five thousand (35000)

Campus Life

The annual tech fest ignis (February)and cultural fest vipanchika (April) are conducted A good amount of rare and expensive books are available in the library , we could take a maximum of 3 books at a time Sports are conducted in the month of December There are many clubs and groups like orso(oratory society), h2o, NSS

Hostel Facilities

There are two shared and three shared rooms The facilities provided include bed, study table, cupboard for each person The bathroom is common There are many PGs near which provides good homely food The hostel fee is around 7000 a month

Admission

The reason I opt this college is because it provides the computer science and artificial intelligence course which is not available in many other colleges in Kerala The students could get an admission by having certain cutoff in the keam exam or JEE

Faculty

There are many faculty members who are very passionate about teaching, communicating with students etc. But there are some who don't even bother to take class properly . Some professor's are very strict but some are easy going The faculty to student ratio 2:50

Night Life

The gym is open for twenty four (24) hours The cafeteria opens at 7:30 am and closes at 9:00 pm The library closes at8:00 pm A hosteller must reach the campus by evening 6:45 pm and the hostel by 7:45 pm The famous hangout places are athirapally waterfall, ezhattumukam fort kochi etc

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Average student experience at amrita

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

The other colleges i applied was all govt colleges.i couldn't got the rank to get there because i got less rank in keam exams.so i choose the best college i could get on my marks. I got 25526 rank in keam examination such that i cracked in here and also i wanted to be here because my super seniors where here they also insisted me that scms school of engineering is a good college.our college is a managemental college accredited by govt either we should crack keam exam or we should jee exam or we be nri quota. These are the 3 methods that we can get to scms school of engineering. SSET- from the viewpoint of a student

I applied to government colleges and MITS ,RIST and FISAT too among with SSET. But I got confirmation letter from SSET in my first allotment itself. I choose SSET because it has a great infrastructure and wide possibility of opportunities. One of my relative was an alumni of this college and I got to know about the college from her perspective. The response I got from others whenever I asked about my college was really positive and hence I chose SSET. I never got rejection from other colleges I applied to, I simply chose to settle in the first college I got allotted after my KEAM Rank list got published. I chose SSET over other colleges because other colleges were really expensive and I never wanted to push my family to go through such a hard time just for my education. Even though I got admitted to a really great college with a high quality course the fees there in one sem was twice the amount I had to pay in SSET for a year The admission process of my college was quite simple.All we had to do was submit my certificates and sign a few papers. It Lasted only one and half hours. The eligibility to get here included passing the KEAM Exam and having 50% or more pass mark in plus two. The student must have studied Science subject with either Biology or Computer Science as the main Subject. My overall admission experience was really great.
