Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum of my course was pretty tough but very much needed for today's technical world. My goal was to pursue data and field. For that the course was very apt and needed. The real word applications of this course was very huge and impactful. The projects we were working on was real world applicable and the outcome of this course was to mold the students for real world working experience and advanced technology. The improvements i thought need for the curriculum was to involve more real world projects to get students engage in than just theory classes. The teaching was good but I think engaging with real word problem solving should be needed.

Internships Opportunities

5

Internship programs play a significant role in the studying process of Sacred Heart students, giving them the opportunity to understand the real environments around them. Sacred Heart College has partnerships with major companies, research firms, and startups that can offer its students a plethora of avenues for getting upgraded skills to head towards the reality of the work place. The internships help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, and hence, students are able to develop critical skills that improve their employability. The college also encourages its students to do internships in multiple areas such as data analysis, software development, marketing, research assistance, and content creation. These expose students to relevant skills in industries and enable the networking process. Some of these offer stipends and may vary in companies, role, and time scale. Sac Heart College gives various internship opportunities among different fields through which the student can pick anything that would benefit them depending on their study record and desired field Data analysis internships appeal to students interested in working with the insights found within data. This role allows students to work with massive datasets, find patterns, and derive relevant business information. As a data analysis intern, his or her primary responsibilities include cleaning and preprocessing datasets, applying statistical models, creating data visualizations, and then working with tools like Python, R, SQL, and Power BI. Interns work on projects in finance, healthcare, retail, and e-commerce industries, which are all critical areas of data analysis for business decision-making.

Placement Experience

5

Placements at Sacred Heart College are quite promising and focus on equipping the student with the skill set for employment. Normally, a candidate may get eligible for campus placement after fifth semester , course-wise. Several reputed companies visit the campus for recruitment, such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, etc.and offer roles in data analyst, software developer, marketing associate, etc.The highest package in recent years has been around ?10 LPA, while the average package ranges between ?3-5 LPA, depending on the company and job profile. About 80% of the students get campus placements, and others go for higher studies or start entrepreneurship. In case campus placement is not available for specific programs, the college facilitates career counseling and internships and provides skill development programs to improve employability. After my graduation, I would like to go for higher studies, a specific industry, business, etc. using the knowledge and experience acquired at Sacred Heart College.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees for this course was near to 1,39,000. In the first semester, the student needs to pay academic fee with college fee of 5000 and registration fee also. There were no lab fees and development fees. There were scholarship opportunities for students like students from school background.

Campus Life

5

My overall experience about campus life in Sacred Heart College has been rich and vibrant. It has perfect balance between academics and extracurricular activities. The college also hosts several annual and technical festivals, such as comhar, heartifest etc. These activities bring students of different disciplines closer to each other, encouraging creativity and innovation and making them work together. The library contains a rich store of books, research journals, and digital resources; it is considered an academic research hub. This is where all students have easy access to online databases, e-books, and even the latest research papers to keep updated knowledge in their subjects. Classrooms are well-equipped with modern technology, including smart boards, projectors, and high-speed internet, which creates an interactive and engaging learning environment. The college also focuses on hands-on learning through well-maintained labs, seminar halls, and discussion rooms for collaborative projects. Sports and extracurricular activities play a very significant role in the life of the student. The college offers facilities for basketball, football, cricket, badminton, and athletics. Inter-college tournaments are encouraged with training for the competitive sport aspirants among the students. Also, there are various student-run clubs and organizations focused on different kinds of interests that include literary societies, drama clubs, coding clubs, photography groups, and entrepreneurship cells. These clubs will enhance leadership skills, creativity, and networking between the students. Campus life at Sacred Heart College is dynamic and engaging, offering a lot of opportunities for academic growth, social interaction, and personal development.

Admission

I chose Sacred Heart College over the other colleges, as it boasts a strong academic reputation, structured curriculum, and holistic development. I had applied to other institutions too, including UC college, BMC, MA college etc. I received confirmed admissions from UC college, but what made Sacred Heart different was its excellent faculty, opportunities for research, and a campus environment that's vibrant. The college provides a well-balanced approach to education by putting together more theoretical knowledge with its applications in real life, hence it becomes the best place for me for my academic and personal growth. The rejections that were given from other colleges have been based on the high cutoffs, limited seats, or performance in the entrance examination, so I found Sacred Heart to match my expectations and career goals. The admission process was smooth, and the faculty and administration were helpful throughout. The commitment of the college towards academic excellence, extracurricular activities, and industry exposure made it my top choice, and I am confident that it will provide me with the best opportunities for my future.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio was quite good. The relationship between the students and facilities were great because teachers were very supportive and approachable. They were ready to help anytime. My favourite teacher was our hod at that time. Dr Regitha. She was like a friend and she was very approachable and supportive. There were no teacher i didn't like. But some of them were really strict and that was some of the disliked things about teachers. The exams were according to the course curriculum. The first semester was pretty much easy and then the topics were new and a proper understanding and prepare for the subject were needed. Then some of them failed but they cleared out with the help of faculties and peers

Night Life

3

The nightlife surrounding Sacred Heart College is rather dull and casual because students tend to relax in a safe environment after a busy day of classes. The librarycloses around 9 pm, but the gym and cafeterias open until 11 pm for students to spend their evening doing a quick workout or a meal. Public areas such as college lawns and common rooms are open for socialising, but they close at a particular time. The hostel gates normally close by 6 pm to ensure safety and discipline among the hostelers. The timings for campus entry and exit are strictly followed; students are made to return before the curfew. Hangout spots are mainly inside the campus , such as popular spots at student lounge, open-air canteen, or Lakeview where students hang out and converse while others study in groups

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
