Course Curriculum Overview

3

? I chose chemistry because of the versatility of thge subject. ? There are differet branches of chemistry I can get into. ? We are given a good lab and research opportunities for encountering them in the outside world. ? The exams are well timed, and they are easy to tackle if we are prepared well.

Internships Opportunities

4

I'm still yet to be informed in this because I'm still a first year and the internships are only provided in the second year. I am sure the college provides us with relevant internships that are inclusive with our courses and gives us input into how out jobs will be after we graduate.

Fees and Financial Aid

? The yearwise fee is under 10,000 rupees. ? The admission fee was around 11,000 rupees and lab fees was around 450 rupees. ? The fees of my batchmates was also similar since we were all admitted through merit. ? Scholarships from other foundations are available and we are notified of thek by our college.

Campus Life

5

? Each department have their own fests, there is onam and christmas celebrations, there is heartian fest, and there are events conducted by the union, there is first DC and second DC day. ? The accessibility is great, and the librabry staff are very friendly. ? The facilites are all uptodate. ? The sports and extra-curricular activities are all provided and we are encouraged to participate in them ? There are a lot of clubs, and we can participate and be a part of them as we like.

Admission

? I only applied to colleges in my city. I got admission into two of them and, I chose this college because I have studied in the school of the same name run by the same board and the distance was less compared to other colleges. ? I did get admission but since the commute was too long, I didnt continue with the admission. ? The eligiblity is over 95% marks for merit and the admission process is first run by the portal of the college site and if you get in the list, you can proceed to go to college on the admission day and take the admission on that day itself

Faculty

3

? Our department has the highest number of teachers. ? The students are lower in number in my class which is first year chemistry compared to other UG bsc courses. ? There are two internals exams and one semester exams and it is well balanced with easy and tough questions but, we struggle because we cant rely on pyq questions as we are in the FYUGP system.

Interview Experience

4

? there were no GD, interview questions or test patterns. ? the criteria was good marks for your 12th boards from a recognized board. ? the interviews were for self finance students and since I was a merit student, I was solely admitted by my academic score on my 12th boards.

Night Life

5

? There are outdoor gyms near the lake, two canteens, and a lake behind the college. ? there are places called stone park and lakeside ground where we can hangout ? there are a lot of hangout tea shops and restaurants near our college where we hang out. ? The safety is good as there are stil lot of people and students who hangs out at college in the night for practices and decorations and union activies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.
