Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum was thoughtfully designed, which blends classical theories with contemporary perspecetive and also provided a strong foundation for both research and critical thinking. Teaching is well structured and student centered, where faculty ensures conceptual clarity. Examinations are bit challenging but with consistent preprations and self studying can achieve greater success. the faculty helps but efforts from our side is necessary.

Placement Experience

4

they do offer placements for both ug and pg. But For Pg Structured palcements are limited. For Pg students, especially in commerce and management placement oppartunites are offered. Companies like Federal Bank, Deloitte mostly offered. Since we had no placements, iam focusing currently on content creation and writing, actively working with online media due to my creative interest.

Fees and Financial Aid

For MA English (aided) the first year fees was 10840 and the second year fees was 8353 in which the total fee structure for theprogramme was 19193 Eventhough having a quality in education and infrastructure, the affordable fee structure was accessible for students from everybackground also they provided fee reduction for students from economically backward category as well which was upto 50 percent of total.

Campus Life

4

There is a annual fest known to be the Heartian fest for whole college. Apart from that department fest like fresher's day, association days are conducted. There is great accessibility of boosk and Journals through the Fransis Sales Library, which is a true hub of academic richness. SHC has a proud legacy in sports and athletics, especially in basketball and cricket. The college has consistently produce national level athletes and also there are quotas and scholarships for sports acheivers. other extracarricular activity is the MG University art fest, where SHC has consistently secured top position. SHC proudly support their sportsperson and artists, giving great support and oppartunites for themto showcase their talents.

Admission

when i was applying for my master's i applied some reputed instituations like St. Teresa's Ernakulam, and i had fair chances of getting in but i choose SHC instead because ofthe NAAC A+ Accreditation, campus environment and ambience, also the curriculam and space for academic exploartion. Since, SHC have more research oriented approch

Faculty

4

The faculty were approchable and deeply knowlegeable, always encouraging independent thoughts. i particularly appreciates the prominance that they gave towards self learning and dissertation works, which helped me to sharpen my analytical and writing skills.

Night Life

4

The campus gates usually closes by 8pm, as the library works till 8 and also after the academic colllege hours, there is provision to use the gym which is for both students and public. After the collegehours the serene backwaters behind the college offers a peacful place to sit and enjoy.

I got to know more about the rules and regulations, and functionality of my country during the course. the course teaches the structure of Indian democracy, its functions etc. It digs deep into politics of the country making sure that when students graduate they have enough info to face reality with politics for india. we learned about constitutions and structure of many major countries. Exams were conducted not according to the rest of the students for us. we had late exams and hence late results and late graduation. difficulty level of exams if you study well enough you can crack it. its theory based degree

The classes were conducted on planned and time keeping. Well covered syllabus before the university exams. Continuous evaluation and revisions on subjects made thr concept clear to a student. Timing of class hours is from 10am to 3pm around 3:30pm all students left the college after classes. There were three breaks for refreshing, i. e, for morning hour, lunch, evening hour breaks.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is mainly based on contemporary relevant issues. Neither than a revised version our syllabus is mainly based on self thinking rather than spoon feeding. Most of the peoples in our syllabus are very related to the real world issue such as gender, environment problems, culture etc. In this curriculum provides are different Framework for us to look over the world. Is curriculum provides a different view and we have to change our perspective to look the world through which we study our papers. The areas of improvement on this curriculum is mostly the curriculum is only speaking from human perspective but we have to take the world as a whole. That is the only point of improvement that I can find out in this curriculum. We have three hours to complete a exams. The difficulty level of the exams is almost 8 in a scale of 10. I think a half an hour should be provide for students because sometimes we will be blank.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is good. At some points, it needs revision. The subjects feel ancient. The teaching also need to be improved. The typical lecture method is very unhelpful. Instead they should introduce digital learning. Also the course lacks in-hand experience on the subject. Rather than the robotic manual learning there's no activity involved

Course curriculum is great and it helps us to prepare for the real world applications and also for the further academic pursuits.By the materials for the syllabus were most not available so it was so difficult for us to prepare for the exams and also the faculty face it so hard to teach us without proper materials. Also the face difficulty in the question level as we are forced to write the exams without proper materials. Our exams were not properly conducted they have published the exam date all of a sudden eventhough we studied semester wise they conducted exams yearly and 1&2 semester together it had us so hard to prepare for exams. Also our valuation was not properly done so only fews percentage of the students were only passed in the exams. The carelessness of the authorities spoiled life of many students like us.
