About Providence Women's College
Providence Women’s College is one of the well-known colleges for women in Kerala. The college was founded by the sisters of Apostolic Carmel on 1st July, 1952. The college was establishes with a an aim by Mother Veronica the foundress of the congregation to train young women who had embraced religious life and send them far and wide on vocations of service to the community. This college is known to be the first women’s college of Malabar. The college is registered under the Apostolic Carmel Education Society, S No.4 of 1957, Calicut. The Managing Governing Body includes the Provincial Superior, Educational Secretary, the Principal, the Local Manager; a representative of the management and religious staffs nominated by the Provincial Superior. The College was first affiliated to the Madras University. Later the affiliation was shifted to the Kerala University and University of Calicut successively.

- Since 100 years: the college celebrated its diamond jubilee in 2012. The management of the collage along with the teaching staff is highly experienced therefore they provide high quality knowledge to the students.

- Independence: No freedom to make our own choices . Can’t use mobile phones etc
- Financial burden: college development fees , tuition fees, program fees, textbooks fees and exams fees
Admission:
I got admitted based on merit quota so the admission process was easy. College authorities asked to submit some essential documents and then had a meeting with the principal. Exams are scheduled by the university and it's a difficult task for long-distance students as they schedule exams in a week without a single day's leave. It would be much appreciated if we get a study leave in between each exam.

- My college provides several opportunities regarding skill development and career guidance.
- My college conducts several programs where the students get to nurture and show off their artistic talents and skills.
Dislikes
- My college prohibits the students from entering or exiting the college as per their needs or convenience.
Admission:
The admission process was hectic but reasonable. The eligibility of my course is very high but I think my college is not one to blame on that part. And the frequency and timing of exams are not reformed. The difficulty level of my exams are very unreasonable. Also the evaluation of the papers are rigorous.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Attendance, Punctuality is one of the strongest virtues of our faculties , Innovation and Creativity of teachers and students Leadership, Communication Skills.Collaboration and Teamwork ,Time Management BBA is a three years degree course. Its an undergraduate course that helps develop entrepreneurship skills of the candidates. BBA combines business related courses and generic course. Some BBA courses allow specialization in marketing, finance and HR management.

Very satisfied with the facilities provided Help of the faculty in spreading quality education All the students are very warm and welcoming A lot of opportunities to seek ones talents other than academics.

It follows a Trimester pattern with excellent teaching & provides one on one interaction of students and faculties on weekly basis.
