Course Curriculum Overview

4

I got interested in this subject while i was studying +2 ,there was 2 chapters about biotechnology which caught by my eye. The is a well structured curriculum and when and where to apply these isn’t really explained. Teaching methods could be more focused on practicals which might be helpful in real world. The timing of exams aren't a problem still now but there is one comprehensive course in 6th semester the exam timing is not really great.

Internships Opportunities

4

Our department biotechnology doesn't get much opportunities because for this field government funding is really low in India. But there is still some opportunities to go to great companies for internships and visit such NIST, KMML etc

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is around 86000 fo management quota which includes registration fees, lab fees, development fees, PTA fees and other compulsory charges. And for other quota like government mermit is around 56000, for SC and ST is around 1800 but it is paid by the government themselves such as E-grant and for NRI its around 145000. There is some merit cum means scholarship available for students not available for everyone. I didn't get because the annual income problems document submission.

Campus Life

4

Arts and Cult-a-way are the two greatest fest in our college in my opinion .we have a great library and online library access in our college. There are groups to helps people, for studying, clubs like photography club, sports club, music club. The extracurricular activities are really included.

Admission

Actually saying this was my dream college, i didn't really focused on any other college or courses. I got the offer letter in 3rd allotment and within 2 weeks my class had started. The admission in this college is through KEAM done by the kerala government . I got enough rank to apply on the management quota provided by this college and it is affordable when compared to other colleges offering this course in kerala. The admission process wasn't really headache for me.

Faculty

4

There is enough amount of faculties in our college for evergy departments ,well structured department. Some faculties are friendly, supportive, encourage our goal where some are just interested in obtaining marks only. Some provide update on modern world technology encourage new way of studying while some are focused on following the same old studying patterns. There is almost 56 -60 end semester exams and other internal exams .Most of the students passes the exam but around 10 -15 students fail to pass some exam at first try in our class. There is relevant interesting course in our curriculum but when and where to apply isn’t really mentioned.

Night Life

4

Actually we don't really have much night life in college but whenever there is some fest, events, tech test the college campus is ON at night we can enjoy a alot. Lights, crackers, music is really awesome. We have our cult steps where most the love stories begin especially during fests. There is not hostel within the college campus

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
