Likes

Faculty are highly qualified and responsible
Classrooms are well equipped for winters

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is not very much relevant to real world applications. Exam difficulty level is moderate and under strict surveillance. Sometimes semesters are of very small duration that creates a lot of academic pressure.

Class Size: 109Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Oracle, Cummins India, Reliance are some of the companies that offer internship opportunities. Professora of respective departments do also reffer students for industrial internships. Stipend offered depends on companies.

Placement Experience

From 7th semester students are eligible to apply for placements. Tata Motors, HPCL, BHEL, L&T, Ashoka Leyland, Power Grid are some of the renowned companies that visit for campus placements often. 7 lpa is the average package and highest package till today is 22lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

For any category other than (SC/ST/pwd)(Income above 5 lacs) students total fees is 75000 per semester this includes tution fee, admission fee, lab fee, library fee etc. For (income between 1 to 5 lacs) total fee is 31333 and for income below 1 lac total fee is 10500. For SC/ST/PWD total fee is 10500

Campus Life

Techvaganza is the annual technical fest of the college. Books related to all course curriculum are available in the library. Sargam, Robonox, Semicolon are some of the active clubs of college. Classrooms are well equipped.

Hostel Facilities

As per information related to girls hostel hostels are not spacious especially the 8 seater rooms. Hostel facility is compulsory for non local girl students. Meal quality is average. Registration process is done at the time of admission only.

Hostel Fee: INR 16000 per year

Admission

I applied for mainly NIT's and this was the best NIT I got according to my merit and ranking in JEE. Addmission in NIT's are totally based on JEE score. This is the one of the oldest NIT's in India this made me to choose this college over other colleges that I got.

Faculty

Faculties are well qualified (mostly postdoc). As I am from electrical engineering department Professor SA lone, Professor MA Bazaz, Professor Sheikh Javed Iqbal are some of the very knowledgeable faculties.Exams are done under strict surveillance.

Night Life

Campus area is not very large but natural surroundings i.e mountains, lake etc make the campus life more beautiful. Nightlife is not quite good as in time of hostels is earlier due to safety issues. Canteen facility below average.

My opinion about nit

Likes

I like the diversity and culture of college students come from all states each festival is celebrated with fun .
The infrastructure is good providing facilities like library, amphitheatre, auditorium etc.
I like college ground where we can walk and relieve from academics

Dislikes

College infrastructure can be improved in rainy season there is water accumulation at many places , water drainage system should be there .

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

Likes

One thing I liked about my college is Huge campus area.
Other thing l liked about my college is good infrastructure
Another thing I liked about my college is well experienced faculty

Dislikes

The thing I disliked about my college is delay in your any complain

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements in 8th semester. Companies like L&T construction, Ambuja cement, tata , wipro, jio , Berger, infosys, IBM and many more visit the college. Highest package is around 17 LPA and average package is around 5 LPA . Almost 30 percent students get placement. My plan is to get off campus placement.

Likes

College's weather is too pleasant and the air quality is also good
The environment is also very good and also the view is very nice
Seniors are very friendly in college and also the college has strict punishment for ragging.

Dislikes

The hostel food is not upto the level that a student expect.
The facility sometimes does not able to connect with Students
Hostels are very far away from the department and students have to move very far from the hostel

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is Average and the students are eligible in 7 semester for placement. If the student has any backlog in any of the semester they can't sit in the college placement and also it has minimum criteria of 6.5 cgpa. The percentage of students getting placement is very low sadly

A comprehensive Review

Likes

Firstally i like in my college is hostel it is located in college campus .
The second thing like in my college is campus area located in between mountain.
the last thing is about one teacher he help me in everything.

Dislikes

The first thing i do not like is transport in my college it is the major problem in my college.
The second thing is there are no proper lectures everyday one of them faculty is absent
The last thing is not a proper medical facielities

Placement Experience:

The placement at my college are fairly strong, with a focus on proving opportunities for student in both technical field and non-technical fields. various reputed companies visit our campus for placement like TCS, infosys, and many more.The highest package aroun INR 40 LPA. the majority of the offers are for cybersecurity. My plan is for business after the degree.

The faculties are top notch and very supportive and helpful
Campus life is good because it is very large campus area
We have isro and drdo in our campus which is a very good thing

Dislikes

the university is still under construction
their is limited access of resourses as it is under construction

I chose this college since the crowd over here is filtered. And the crowd seemed to be quiet productive as well the chances of being successful over here are more.I applied for cuet as well but since i got got admission over here i chose not to go to there....Read More

Overview of NIT SRINAGAR

I get this college Throgh JOSAA ( baised on Jee Mains Rank ) . This college stands good in academics but in management it needs improvement . Coming to Admission Process , It is very Simple and easy Process . You just have have to come here in Campus Once you get Alloted a seat in NIt srinagar and everthing will be very easy. NIT srinagar : A place signifying Majesty of nature and a ground for academic growth
