Remarks

Politics is highly volatile so try not to get indulged in politics if you are an outsider and not from Delhi or if you are not having 50-100 supports who will stand to protect you from the localites.

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Micro Biology is the best course for which SSN is known in DU. Other Science courses are nice too because college have ample amount of apparatus in their labs to carry out practicles. Those who get admitted in Science courses need to attend an 8 hours classes timed from 8:30 in the morning to 4:30 in the evening. Most of the times class will be conducted as per the schedule but ya sometimes there will pe free periods especially for first and final year students.

Internships Opportunities

No, intership is very hard thing to find in a college like SSN. Ya but we have Central Placement Cell who use for find interships for students those who fill form for placements or internships but it is almost impossible that one will get placement or internship if you are in any Science Course of SSN.

Placement Experience

0.5

Central Placement Cell is there for those who opt for placement. One need to fill Central Placement Unit form but as I have stated earlier there were 0.1% of chance that one will get placed and it is immensely painful while saying but ya one can't good job or good package from college placement if have a degree in any cousre from SSN.

College Events

4

College celebrate many fests during the acedemic sessions. Even every department celebrate their own fest too. Each and every week one can find event happening on different issues in the seminar hall of New Campus from Electric Safety to Women Empowerment and many more. Singers like Milind Gaba, Fazilpuriya visits college during the fest and for sports lover college organize different matches in the campus or in the other colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee for UG programe is almost nothing. One can pursue Graduation in just 30000 INR. In First year while taking admission one use to pay 8000-9000 INR and before Semester exam a fee of around 1000 INR has to be paid as exam fee. 24000 INR as fee for 3 years and around of 6000 INR as exam fee. So fee is nearly no issue while pursuing degree from any college of DU.

Fees and Financial Aid

There were a huge number of scholarship facility which one could avail especially by SC, ST & OBC students. Even for Girls there were many scholarships either run by University or Government Of India. Some private intitutions like Birla use to provide scholarships for students who are good at studies or they belong financially weaker section or reserved categories.

Campus Life

3.5

Labs are good and staffs are too friendly. Library is even good and full of books but staffs their is little bit rude. For those who love cricket SSN is impressive. SSN have some cricketers who use to represent India at U19 and now use to play IPL Nitish Rana is one of them. Extra Curriculum is not that good at SSN but yes we have some notable alumnus who were too good in their field and even reached Finale of Dance India Dance and other reality shows.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

SSN don't have hostels for students but other facilities are quite good. College have Wifi Campus, good toilets, quite good class room with old benches, great labs Thanks to IGNOU, good drinking water facilities and a bad canteen with nothing other then coke and sandwiches which can be consider hygenic to eat.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of the seniors are helpful to the students from the very first day. While one reach to get admission you will find a lot of helping hands who are happy to help you out with your admission process. College don't appreciate ragging in any form so one can be comfortable with all seniors from day one. College website have alumunus connection portal where one can get connected with alumni of SSN.

Exam Structure

As SSN is under DU we have CBCS pattern. All bachelor degree use to have of three years and Six Semesters. Winter semester ends by mid December and Summer semester end by end of April. Exam never gets postponed or prepond like other Universities. Practicles use to happen 2 weeks before the written exams and dates being published on boards every where as well as on the official website of college. Written exam are being scheduled by University and one can find the dates on Official DU website.

Admission

First thing first, One necessarily need to fill the form of University Of Delhi UG admission to get admission in any Course or any College under DU. Form comes in the month of May and after that DU starts releasing Cut off for all courses and colleges under DU. Every year cut off veries from 1 to 2% but usually for SSN Science courses cut off use to be 92-94% for General Candidates and 86-89% gor OBC Candidates. One cut off is released students who qualifies the cut off and other criterion are asked to visit college for document verification. Students nedd to carry Marks sheet of std 12th, Provisional Certificate, Character Certificate & Migration. If any student applied through Extra Curriculum or Sports quota there use to test and interview for them and shortlist being released by University and Colleges asking them to visit again for Certificate verification.

Faculty

3

See the problem is one can't judge the faculties knowledge regarding there subjects but ya like all other Central Universities faculties are not very responsive. Yup some are good and they will help you out will your problems regarding your subjects but some can be rude with you from day first. Lab staffs are too good especially in Physics department. They are friendly and always ready to help you when ever you need either during your class or exam. They will be happy to help you even if you are having any personal life issues.

There is no extra curriculum activities in my college which I disliked about my colleges and they don't even organise a normal events for students , teacher can be more supportive and teachers can be provide lots of information. They did not provide anything in any information about teachers, teachers. Teachers can be more better. The facilities can be more explain more more and more. They don't take things seriously they just they just provide their notes through online classes and ask them without clearing sections are not not up to the mark and things are not good in the college.
