Course Curriculum Overview

3

curriculum is not as relevant as it should be for 1st year . but this is not a thing which we dont see in other engineering colleges. From second year onwards the curriculum is very relevant based on our branches. During first year we have lots of subjects of other branches which they want us to undersand . ECE's 3-4 course in our first year curriculum. The syllabus can be easily covered few days before exams. Rattu Totas have a lot of scope to earn a good gpa, As the question comes from a narrow range.

Internships Opportunities

4

As i am a first year student i dont have that much idea about internship and all all but as of i ave heard there aree good oppurtunities for intership . There are so much advantage for girls in this category also. they get first oppurtunity rather than boys . There are less on campus opurtinies but more off camous tried by students. Stipend usuallly lies around 25k-1lakhs. Companies like splinklr offers great amount in stipend to students. A good project in any course is the thing which they demand for selcting candidates . There are several rounds after that they selct fror internship , amd also they give pre placement offers to students (PPO) which is generally of good ammounts.

Placement Experience

4

Placements are very good in my college. Being one of the best engineering college in india a lots of companies visit in our on campus plaacements. The average package is around 10-12 LPA. For CSE departments average package is around 18-20 LPA. Giants companies like google amazon also visit for on campus placements and provide a good amount of packages. A good amount of students also go for off campus placements . Placements season generally starts after 6th sem. And internship opurtunities starts after 2nd sem. Highest package always goes around 1 cr and lowest around 7 LPA. Around 70% of students in computer science department get placements. Number of compainies usually lies around 80.( I am a first year student so i dont have that much clear idea about number of compainies ). While there are some of my friends who are very brilliant in some skills like graphic designing and coding. so they already started earing money through their skiils .

Fees and Financial Aid

I will be covering all the details in points - 1. I am a hosteller, so starting with my hostel fees which i recently paid is 36,000 per semester. Also it does not include mess fess which is 23,000.So the total cost of accomodation is around 59,000 per semester.(It is for sure on a higher side in comparison of other goverment colleges like Nits,IIIts). Also there is no electricity charegs in hostel. 2.Movong towards college fees, So they taken college fees in two parts(1st during councling and other after allotment)which is equal to 2,40,000(1,45,000+95,000) per year. It includes all types of fees such as tution fees , caution fees, registatiion fees ,lab fees, library charges and other small charges. 3. Fees from the next year is going to on a higher side (increases by about 8-10% every year). 4. This point is regarding scholarships. So being an government engineering college, obviously it offers a lots of scholarships based on category. I unfortunately is not a part of any scholarship becasue most of the scholarship has a condition of income less than a particular amount. one of my friend from my branch itself has claimed scholariship on the basis of income. He was leived by tution fees.He will be only paying hostel fees and some minor fees. 5. Coming to the hardwork based scholarship;there is a scholarship of 100% for the top 5% students of every batch.I am currently in 1st year so i had never seen this scholarship by my eyes, but heard a lot of times through my friends and seniors. 6. Students reaction on this fees- This college is really expensive than other enginnering colleges in all categories.

Campus Life

5

Overall expirence is really amazing. Campus life is very goood. We have a lots to things to do and to play with. we usually have many things to do so we dont get bored any time . There are more than 25 societies / clubs in our college , we literraly have society for any category like dancing singing sports coding , everything . Infrastruture is prettry decent and maintained. Some issues are there like we dont have a good washrooms in our college but is okayish. There are Two fest in our college. The name of the technical fest in RESONANZ which happens in every odd semester and, the name of our cultural fest is MOKSHA which is happeing in our even semester. Both of them are very good fests. Resonanz is like small fest ( by the was DREAM NOTE came this year for performance ) . Moksha this year is yet to happen , but last year our college had sunidhi chauhan , raftaar , king ( They really enjoyed a lot ) . Libarary is really great, we had a lot of variety of books in our college ( from course realted to fictional books) all are present in our college including grteat magazines and all. Sports activity is good , they provides us with a cricket ground , basketball ground , badminton court , 2 basketball court and many other facilities for sports and all .

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facility is very good in our college , the only problem is that they chaege a good amount . Being a government college the charges of the hostele and mess acoomodatin is on a highest side. So there are two options such as single room occupancy and double room occupancy in our hostels . Also i would really to like to appreciate our washrooms , they are really good and well maintained . I had seen footage of other engineering college and their washrooms looks very bad , but this college dont have this issue and got a good point in this case. Taking about the mess , the menu is superb but the quality of food is okayish , you can eat , itsnot that you cant eat. I was also there in kota so i know how bad they can make but they do a good job by this comparison . Registration forms come out after every semester / year , and just have to fill those forms and the community or manangement of hostel decide on the basis of distance from the college. Also by any chance if someone dont want to stay in hostels then they can also opt for pg's . There are nearby a lots of pgs , a lot of variety of pgs are available for our students.

Admission

This college is one of the best engineering colleges in india. A tier 1 engineering college. Better than a lots of nits and even IITs. Through JOSSA counciling i was getting nit bhopal and iiit gwalior ( cse in both ) but this college has a great location as well as reputation. While as i mentioned earlier I was getting DTU IT or SE but CSAI in NSUT so i choose this college over them. Well i was unable to make into IITs because i got distracted after jee mains and lost my focus for jee advance , so i scored relatively lower marks in JEE Advance. So taking about the admission process to get into my college. Its so simple - just clear JEE MAins with more than 99.5 percentile(general category) and go through JAC DELHI counciling and BOOOM , you made it . Their are no any other exams for btech courses in my college and also there is no management quoto, so you have to work very hard to get into my college( I am specific towards CS branch in my college). so good points are placement, location, reputation. I had opurtunity to get into top nits with mechanial or civil branch but i never did that. I was very much focused towards computer science branch. so this led me towards nsut. Hope this much information is sufficient .

Faculty

3

Faculty members are usual. Some of them are goods , some are moderate , some are very strict. Strictness based on assignments , attendance and some other factors. We have 6 course for this semester , each cousrse have its seperate proff, and separate lab staffs. And we have 80 students in our batch and 2 sections. There are 4 class tests(CTs) , 1 midsem , 1 endsem each semester. Marks scheme goes like 50 marks for endsem, 20 for midsem, 30 of internals ( Total 100 marks per semester ). Faculty is very approachable, they provide proper time to our doubts and issues. Sachin sir is one of the best faculty ( 2nd sem mathematics faculty ) , reason is being so friendly, and being a proper guide. I won't reveal the name of one my faculty but she is very bad in teaching, she just used to read out her notes and asks questions to the students, and we have to study all over the syllabus through youtube and chatgpt. For the 1st year the curriculum is not much relevant (being a computer sceince student ) , but after 1st year the course is very relevant for us. Taking aboout the toughness of exams - CTs are a liitle on a easier side as it contains a low syllabus ; midsem are midium level tough, and endsems are also midium level tough. PYQs are very familiar for the exams. Almost 5% students are unable to make through this exam and get a backlog (which they can cover in their upcoming semesters ) .

Interview Experience

4

As i am a first semester student i dont have any ideas about these topics . But as i have haerd from our seniors there are several rounds before selection in any company . Its difficulty ranges from moderate to tough.

Night Life

5

Nitlife is okayish. We are officially not allowed to stay outside after 10 p.m. , but we often do nightouts during weekends. I would must say this that delhi will never make you feel boring. delhi has endless places to visit and endless things to do near ever part of it. By the way. the nearsest railway station is very close , so everything appears to be very close and reachable at low transportation cost. This makes our college life more and more intresting and funn making. Even there is a gym which is completely free, there are many other gyms near our college , cafetarias and all are full , goiing to near by meto stations also increases a lots of option. Vegas mall is also at a walking distance from our college which increases a lots of options such as movie theater, comedy shows also often occur their as the vegas mall has a laugh store. The locality is very much safe at night also. as we go to make fun at nights , sometimes we come late but we never faced any issue.

Talking about NSUT, it is one of the best in terms of placement. Almost every company you may think of that costs IIT Delhi also visits NSUT. NSUT has a great placement stats in tech, non tech and in core as well. In tech , you may think of Amazon , Flipkart , google , Microsoft and all the big companies do visit the campus The eligibility for on campus placements purely depends upon the CGPA. So it is really important to maintain a good GPA throughout the course. Students become eligible for placements after the 6th sem only. To check the stats of the company visited and the offers made to each branch , you may visit the TNP website of our college NSUT. 80-90% students were placed from our college in the last placement session. For consultancy and non tech, companies like Deshaw, Bain, TCS,McKinsey etc do visit the campus. The highest package almost goes above a Crore per annum in most of the years , while the avg is around 10LPA, while the median is around 7-8LPA.
