Course Curriculum Overview

5

as I pursue B.Sc (Honours) mathematics which I feel is highly valuble in future as we know this is the era of AI's and to train AI's we need to know about machine learning which requires complex maths so we can work on data and make meaningful insights to train AI's

Internships Opportunities

4

the last internship update we recieved from the intership cell was from a company named hireyy profile offered Content writer digital marketer palcement coordinator busuness development executive and a few more students from all courses were eligible it is a remote intership duration - from 1month to 6months with a lots of perks and stipend for 7000 per month based on performance

Placement Experience

3

there is a placement and internship cell in our college which is pretty okay the average placement is 4 to 6 lakhs the minimum cgpa is 8 companies like solc, hireyy, realval come for internship and placements ehich are mainly gurgaon based highest package is 12lakh as far as I know chances of students getting placed is high my plan after getting this degree is to work as a data scientist in FAANG companies

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure in convenient and affordable. fees should be paid yearly ( once in a year ) which is 23000 in my case. which is less than 2000rs. which is less than a lot of high school fees. and Shivaji college, DU also provides fee concession for students which comes in the criteria of a particular annual income ( I think its 100000 I am not sure but it is somewhere around this) and apart from tution fees there is only exam fees no caution fee, no registration fee, no development fee, no lab fee at all and no management charges all of my batch mates have the same fees irrespective of categories the college provides fee concession as I mentioned apart from that you can apply for other scholarships and many more

Campus Life

5

the overall campus life is so good there are a lots of societies in college to participate like shutterbugs if you like photography, footloose for the ones who like to dance, bizzare is a fashion society and many more like this the library here is so rich in books they have almost all the academic books needed by a childern we also have a sports complex where you can play basketball, football, cricket, lawn tennis and a lots of games

Admission

To be honest I just wanted to get admission in any Delhi University college. all of them are good. Sure the north campus is the best but due to my low marks I couldn't make it to north campus the only thing I wanna say is make your preference list carefully and score as much as you can in CUET cutoff is around 400 for general category in 2024 for mathematics major out of 800 which I think anyone can score if they study normally

Faculty

5

the overall academics are good. all the teachers are so supportive and always up for doubts. so polite and kind, thoughtful. other faculties are also so helpfull and supportive I don't think there is anything I don't like about the college staff there are 350+ professor and assistant professors in college for around 4 to 5k students including all departments

Night Life

4

the nightlife around the college campus is pretty good there are a lots of gyms, cafeteria and study points around the campus closing time is over 11pm in night and some cafeteria keeps open for the whole night and also the metro station is just 500 from the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is too good. As my course is life sciences so instead of learning about only one core subject like in botany hons and zoology hons course, we get chance to learn about zoology, botany and chemistry simultaneously. That Also unlock a large no. of opportunities for my future. Acc to me the ratio of practical lab and theory classes should be increased like we only get 1 lab for one core subjects in a week so I think this no. Should be increased so that we can get more practical knowledge. The difficulty level of exams are too much High like it seems we're hons course students that should be decreased.

Campus placements are for commerce background mostly, usually in 3rd year you might see some placements. I don't know exactly about thr company who visited because I wasn't enrolled in that particular course. Campus placements percentage is very low to be honest . 10-20% mostly. I'll pursue masters.
