My experience at IIT-H

Yeah the sem 1 consisted of courses which cover almost evrything so we would get an idea but from sem 2 the focus would be core. We could still avail some electives to explore various branches. That option is available.

It depends on your branch and interests. Usually if you were to go for some IT side then you should have a decent Leetcode or codeforces score. You need to show off your projects to them. The internshipls process usually start from 3-2 so we need to start preparing in the second year itself.

Almost everyone who entered the interviews got placed and in general computational engineering people bag the highest packages. I plan on either MS or going for petrochemicals. The internships start from 3-2.

For the first sem including all the charges from josaa and all it was around 1.6 L and for sem 2 it costed around 1.4 L. I don't think itll keep on increasing. It was divided well among mess fees hostel fees etc.

Yeah the clubs are pretty active if you ask me. There's a club for almost everything. Whether you're into tech, anime, gaming, music, dance and sports too. Almost everyday there would be some event or the other to attend.

The hostels are decent. We have radiant cooling which to summarise ensures that we have a 365 day constant temp of around 20 degs. The mess quality is legendary. Youll be getting a balanced diet from the meals they provide you with. they'll float a link to your mail and you need to fill it to register

Im interested in taking chemistry so i opted this branch in IIT Hyderabad. I heard good stuff about this college so without much debate i landed here and I didn't regret my decision at all. I'm grateful for it.

The faculty would encourage doubts well and even if they were unable to clear they would either clarify it the next class or we can even mail them or contact them for the doubt. They're quite approachable imo.

Iit hyd is famous for its night life. It is so calm and it would be ideal if you wanted to go for a walk. You can visit wherever you feel that is good with your friends and have a small meeting. It is quite lovely tho.
