My beloved Manipur University.

I choose psychology because of some reasons:- 1). I like it. 2). I want to heal my self. 3). I want to help my friends, family and other to stay mentally healthy. The curriculum that provides is so good. It helps me to fulfill my dreams in some aspects. It quite reasonable to apply to the real world as it teaches how to cope our mental stress and to help others. How to give therapy. How to live a more understanding and peaceful life. The area for improvement may be , it will be better if the time of course is increase. Because it's lots and lots to learn and just 2 years course is not enough for more learning. As there are one one exam for each semester and there are lot of presentations and seminars. And the duration of semesters are only 6 months each. It's quite tough to handle it. But we handle it ????

Its takes Rs. 7000 approx. for the semester admission. And Rs. 3000 approx. for the examination form fill up . So, as there are 4 semesters the total amount for the course of our master's is around Rs.45000 in total. Sports fees, library fees, Practical fees, Field work investment are included in this. If we have to take books and notes than it cost more than Rs. 5000 for 1 semester. If we go to our university bus than Rs. 300/400 is enough for 1 month and of we go to Taxi than it cost Rs. 3000 per month.

As I also mentioned in previous question. Our Manipur University is quite developed in the field of Social Art and cultural, sports and library. The main and biggest function of our university is called MANIFEST. There it performs many cultural activities for whole over Indian traditional, old and modern tradition. During and after this function university sports' meet is followed. It's a big sport's meet. We organised may drama an functions relating to mental health day also. Library meet is also performed. The books in our university library are well developed and well maintained. It's all accessible to all students and teachers in need.

Actually the subject psychology was added so recently to our state universities. There are two universities in our state. One is Manipur University and the other is Dhanamanjuri University. I did my graduation under Manipur University so I choose to do my master also at Manipur University. Manipur University is quite good and popular top university in our state. For our department the intake capacity is 70 seats. The examination was conducted under CUET. The cut off marak is 50 - 55% . Overall the examination experience including other departments of our university is good and well developed.

The ratio of faculty to students are good and approachable. I like all my faculty members except one as they motivate the students at their best. Sorry that I don't want to add her name but the reason why I don't like her is because once I was selected for the master's admission and she holds my seat and sell to their one of their relatives. In short she does corruption. There are 4 exams at our master course. One one exam each for semester. At 1st semester fail percentage is 70% and at last semester pass percentage is 80%.

The night life of our university is so awesome and beautiful. It's so safe to roam by any one. Lights are all fited. There are many cafes and playground to play , there are many libraries for each department but only one main big Library is there. There were many places with seats for the public meeting and all. The hostel and campus gate close at 9 pm. Famous place to hang out in our campus are :- Langthabal konung, Hockey and badminton field, The main library, The archeology department museum, The centenary hall, etc.
