Remarks

There are both good and bad things about my college. The college is operational, that's why we get lots of benefits, the experience we had is immensely good. As for where it is good, there also has to be a bad thing, the infrastructures are urgently needed to repair and reconstruct in many areas, it still lacks the look of what it's like being the only central university of the state. The placement of the students needs to be higher and also the faculty members. because we need more young and updated lecturers through the learning process.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course Curriculum and Exam Structure are quite good. It is research-driven to say the department to which I was admitted was used to conduct a field survey usually twice in each semester of those two years as the course is completed with four semesters. It helps a lot for future reference and the experience is of great value.

Placement Experience

2

There are no such internships in our department. 100% of students are placed every year. The institution prepared for the placement by taking serious steps. They would provide coaching for the same and also provided a question bank for the students to refer to.

College Events

2

Lots of events are held every year, such as conference, sports, University week, workshop etc. It gathers all the students not only to learn but also to impart knowledge of many importance beneficial for its career. In every kind of event, the officers from different field are invited as chief guest. They are asked to give a speech which can be very helpful for the students. All these events encourage and lifted the student's spirit to learn, to live and to lead a good life.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure are feasible. My program fees were around 10, 000 a year, not to mention the mess and expenditure. The mode of payments is provided both in cash and debit/credit card. The fee- break down was transparent, bribe is not accepted at all. No charge is taken to secure an admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offered scholarships to students every year, If we have the certificate of graduation and the PG's 1st semester certificate, it is eligible for the same. The scholarships are sanction according to their category. For the minority, the students union holding the minority group will take all kinds of trouble to make avail the scholarships, so we had to submit to them. For other group too, they had their own terms regarding the submission of scholarship forms. The average sum which was provided per year was around 18, 000.

Campus Life

2

As for the gender ratio, not much insignificant were seen. It is diversified. Male and female can be seen quite competitive, although male seems to outnumber female at some point. Different groups of culture, religion, race and societies gather together to learn and prosper.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I opted for the hostel. Hostel rooms are convenient, two persons are allotted for each room. There are around 7 girls hostels inside the campus. Some of them are highly appreciated, few still need to be upgraded. the average rentals could be around 12, 000 for half a year. The facilities given by the hostel has to be better than what it is. The kitchen needs to be more cleaner, wifi services still need to access in every hostel, and also the rooms are needed to be bigger.

Alumni/Alumna

There's a few whom I used to contact when I need a guide in the area of field survey or report. They are very beneficial. Those that we can't get from lecturers, the senior helps a lot to understand things better and easier. The seniors are helpful in so many areas, they can't be overlooked in the process of learning.

Admission

I opt for this course because I think it is necessary for my career. This institution is the apex body of education in the state and is the only central govt. run college and so I chose it. I got through the entrance which is transparent to me, the admission process is quite fair and convenient and the dates provided are accurate, although sometimes we have to run here and there due to distance within the campus.

Faculty

4

An increase of faculty members are still needed, the demand for it is not acquired although a petition regarding this is repeatedly given. There are at least four of them in my department. One of them holds the JRF (Junior research fellowship) certification. While three of them cross the age of 50, one of them could be around 30. The teaching profession they impart meet the needs of the students but at some point it's almost outdated and it will be in the long run.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose psychology because of some reasons:- 1). I like it. 2). I want to heal my self. 3). I want to help my friends, family and other to stay mentally healthy. The curriculum that provides is so good. It helps me to fulfill my dreams in some aspects. It quite reasonable to apply to the real world as it teaches how to cope our mental stress and to help others. How to give therapy. How to live a more understanding and peaceful life. The area for improvement may be , it will be better if the time of course is increase. Because it's lots and lots to learn and just 2 years course is not enough for more learning. As there are one one exam for each semester and there are lot of presentations and seminars. And the duration of semesters are only 6 months each. It's quite tough to handle it. But we handle it ????

Yes, there is the opportunity of campus placements. It is conducted generally in the last semester of the courses. A percentage of around 30-40 students would have got campus placements. My plans after receiving the degree is to pursue my PHD.
