Not that much placement in Manipur University. List of companies : WHO, Ministry of obc and tribal affairs, certain state and national NGOs.

Every year MU organised sports like Football, volleyball, cricket, athletes, indoor games too.Play ground is really big and able to held multiple sports at a time. As there are many cultural diversity, cultural fashion show are also held. Fresher meet for every year. Participation rate is really high.

It’s not expensive. For sociology per semester, I paid around ?4500/-. There is only manual payment. I wish MU had online payment system. There is transparency in fee structure. Everything is listed and counted on receipt. For sports, every student of each department contributed around ?100/- for sports uniform.

Yes, MU does provide scholarships but it based on exam basis. It’s not monthly based payment scholarships. It’s given after semester and on the basis the semester performance. It’s very less. Somewhere between ?2000/- to ?3000/-.

Campus is really big. Different section for each department. Female to male ratio is high. Female ratio is higher than male. In our batch, only 18 male out of 44 students. Participation is high from our department. There is debate competition too. It’s good.

Senior do help the new comers student in department infrastructure and every aspect of it.They organised fresher meet for junior student and welcome them.

Entrance MCQ bases question, Graduation GPA matters too. I got selected through this. Separate admission for each department. Manipur, there are few colleges but MU is the main one and better infrastructure too.For admission, download the form from University website or either by visiting the department and submit it to the administrative block.

There are only 6 lecturers. Average of the lecturers is 38. All of them got PhD and got NET JRF too. Two of the lecturers is not upto my expectations. Kind of bad. But the rest are good. Our professor is punctual and very strict. One of the lecturers got industry experience certificates for research.
