Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course curriculum is quite good to get ready for the industry. But there is some topics and subjects in the syllabus which are not necessary in our engineering carrier. There is also some topics in the syllabus which may be removed and may add new topics which are needed in this current situation.

Placement Experience

2

Companies like Wipro, L&T, Mahindra, TCS, Infosys, Byjus, Cognizant etc visit our college to hire students. Students from 7th semester are eligible for the campus placements. The average package of our college is 3-4 LPA and highest is 13 LPA. Around 30-40% students get placed while others opt for higher studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission fees for 1st sem is Rs.13000 for CSE and ECE students and Rs.9500 for EE,ME,CE students. And from 2nd sem to 8th sem Rs. 6000 for CSE and ECE students and Rs. 3000 for EE,ME and CE students. This fee is same for all categories. There is TFW (Tution Fee Wavier) scheme in our college. 3-4 students from each branch get this facility. To avail this facility the student's family income should be less than 2.5 Lakhs per annum and the student has to secure very good rank in the entrance exam.Who comes under this facility he/she has to pay Rs. 7000 (CSE and ECE students) and Rs. 6500 (EE,ME,CE students) at the time of admission e.g. 1st sem and from 2nd sem he/she does not need to pay any fees.

Campus Life

4

Our college organize an annual fest in the month of February every year. And also organize a tech fest where students from other colleges come and participate. There are many clubs in our college- Tech Club, Sports Club, Music Club, Dance Club, Drawing Club, Drama Club and many more. The clubs are active and they organize events which are really good. My overall experience is good.

Admission

To get admission in this college you have to appear for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and must be resident of West Bengal. As this is a well performing Government College in the state of West Bengal, the cut off goes high every year. I appeared for the exam and got this college through the counselling conducted by the WBJEE Board. I chose this college in the counselling because I was satisfied by the reviews and performance of this college in the last few years.

Faculty

4

There are 6-7 faculties for each of the branch. The faculties are very polite and always helpful. They also help to solve our doubts beyond academics. There is four continuous assesments and two practical continuous assesments and semester exams in our college. The semester exams and one continuous assesment out of four is taken by university and other two is taken by our college. The exam level is moderate, not too tough to pass.

Interview Experience

5

No, there is no group discussion or any interview round in this college to get admission. To get admission in this college you just need to appear for WBJEE, secure a good rank and must be resident of West Bengal.

Night Life

4

The gym of the college is always open and the library is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 2pm and from 3pm to 5pm. The girls hostel is open till 8pm and the boys hostel till 10pm. The college is situated in the bank of river Torsha. The people in the area is very good and gentle. There is no such risk in night roaming. But it is advised not to go outside at late-night alone.

Placemeng isnt 100% . If you have the skill you will get placed thats the criteria.many people say you are in IIT your life is sorted .but that aint the reality

I read in CSE(AIML) AI ML perspective and couse curriculam inluenced me to admit in college. Teachers often make real-world applications gor any pariculatr topic. I think more practical based an implement based curriculam should be added rather than more theorital subs. Most case college is form 9am -5 pm Like (9-5 job) .

Students generally start getting their pre-placement offers from their 3rd year after completion of their internships other students gets their placement too in their final year. Starting from Apple to Google and Microsoft too hired some of our senior but the number of the students get placed in those tech giant companies is very less but there are mass recruiters too like TCS infosys PW chaitanya education TATA steel BHARAT petroleum and many other companies the offers are made based upon the eligibility of the students and the packages are decided based on the skillset and experience of the students . Highest package was 70 LPA this year and the average packages are also pretty good based upom the companies and their offers it ranges from 15-30 LPA .Almost 80-83% students gets placed but it depends on the branch of the students and their skillsets.I want to sit for GATE exam after completion of my BTech and want to persue MTech

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university is MAKAUT so the curriculum is up to the mark. I liked Programming so I chose B.TECH in CSE. The curriculum is very basic in terms of practical world problem though they are building blocks, but you need to do the extra bit of work to qualify for the real world scenarios. I think more mandatory projects integrated with current set of skills would be a cherry on top. Exams are very frequent like every 3-4 months there is a semester exam and they are moderately difficult.
