The aspects of curriculum that influenced yhe descosion to choose this course were the demand in. Current society a d jobs. The curriculum prepares well for real world applications No areas for improvement The frequency and timing is great

The internship opportunities started early as possible after ending the forst semester and many companies approached us based on our interest and merit and were very helpful in building skills and experience

The fee structure is as follows Total fees per semester is 72000 which includes tuition fees lab fees and other compulsive charges One tome fees at the admission is 6500 Caution fees is 12500 which is refundable The fees above is for general category

Campus Life

The overall experience is extremely well especially the sports section where you get to experience spotts pf your choice and all the facilities are available and the culture is great for many interestis including sports events and coding etc.

Admission

The admission process of this college is JEE MAINS and my score got me here and the fact that this college is in my own city so therefore i choose this college and am happy with the decisIon and i think others should opt for this college too

Faculty

The faculty student ratio is well amd the bond is good with some professors. Faculties are appropriate The name of the faculties i like was Dr Rasik Didn't like Insha There are various exams like mod sems and end sems and quiz tests etc.

Night Life

I am not a hostel student so I wouldn't know about that this question shouldn't be mandatory please change this option otherwise it creates a negative impression on the students and others who are giving this review seriously

The review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

From the starting of 4th year ,we are eligible to sit in the placement and the ratio is almost 65-70 percent percentage head and for it and cse - increff, microsoft ,make my trip ,paypal ,and visa and for civil - L&T and many sales company

My point of view on NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester we become eligible for placements and sit for on campus interviews . In mechanical ONGC , IOCL ,JSW , physics wallah , vedanta and for cse and IT there are companies like paypal , microsoft (internship) , increff etc come for on campus placement.

Placement Experience:

In 7th semester student become eligible for placement. The companies visited are L &T for civil which is big company and select many students, jsw for mechanical and increff , paypal , microsoft, visa ,make my trip for IT and CSE

A student's perspective

Placement Experience:

From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like google microsoft facebook vedanta have visited and offered an average package of around 10 lpa. Highest package is of 45 lpa and lowest of 8 lpa. There is 100% placements of students from core branches. After i get my degree i want to work in a tech company and learn about technology.

The life of student at NIT Srinagar

Placement Experience:

The college placemts is good the average is areound 10lakh per annum , the comapnies that visit for placements and internships are VISA , MICROSOFT, PAYPAL, GOLDMANSACCHS, NVIDIA, CISCO, WIPRO , L&T , PHYSICS WALLAH, INCREFF , other startups etc. My plan is to crack on-campus placement from a good company.

NIT Srinagar - A Beautiful place but Underwhelming Experience

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.

I got this college on the basis of my jee mains rank through csab counselling. Due to some medical issue i was not able to study properly and got little less score. My college accepts admission through jee mains ranking After that josaa and csab counselling. Cutoffs for this exam vary around 80 percentile for obc 90 percentile for general students...Read More
