Course Curriculum Overview

4

I haven't studied any thing particular yet about my branch having only given 1st semester. But so far curriculum has been decent enough. Other subjects such has evs and english have also been taught and English language lab is also a course where students are taught and made to practice their english language and the pronunciation. The teachers should be more consistent and teach in a interacting way rather than teaching endlessly without finding out if the students are comprehending what is being taught

Internships Opportunities

4

im not aware of the companies that have been in the campus placement. The placement in the year 2023 has been the best year for the college with highest placement being 36 lpa in cs department. Avg package in the electrical department has been 8lpa

Placement Experience

4

I think in 4th year students are eligible for placements. The highest package has been around 30 lakh in cs department and avg package for electrical branch last year was 8 lpa. I am planning to persue mtech after this degree

Fees and Financial Aid

The year wise fee is 180000 i.e 90000 per semester and it is not increasing as the semesters go on. Tuituon fee is 62500 for general income above 5 lac and 20,800 for income between 1 to 5 lac and nil for sc/st/pwd and income below one lac. Library fee is 1000 same for all. One time fee on admission is 6500. Security deposit is 12000. Laboratory fee is 700. Semester fee at the time of registration is 25000 for general and 10500 for sc st or pwd.

Campus Life

4

Techvaganza is one of the biggest events held by nit sringar and also open for participation for other people who do not study in the institution. Library has good amount of books relevant to the curriculum . Smart classrooms are there but the internet on the campus is weak. Sports and extracurricular activities are good.

Admission

I didnt really apply to any other colleges. Because i got into nit srinagar on the basis of my jee score and with that score this was the best option available and also the best branch and main factor was that i was very close to where i live

Faculty

2

Faculty is decent enough. Mostly you can't directly contact the teachers you have to do so through elected CRs. The teacher i liked was dr suhail khosa who was replaced after a few classes at the start of the semester due to some reason. There are two exams mainly i.e mid semester and end semester they are of moderate difficulty and mostly students clear the exams

Interview Experience

4

No there was no such thing. The admission was done on the basis of the jee main score. I scored 95 percentle and got the admission on that basis. No other exam was required to get into the institution

Night Life

4

I am a day scholar so im not aware of night live hostel life etc. But there is excellent hangout spots around the campus. Cafés restaurants are very good and walking on the foreshore road along dal lake is very refreshing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is quiet relevant it covers all the important subjects and topics.I chose the Ece branch as the demand of semiconductors is rising in the future. The curriculum perpares us well for real world applications. The course teaches us a lot of outdated concepts but it misses out to teach about what is happening in the world right now. So the course can involve a lot of topics that are in trend.

Placement Experience:

Placemets start right from your 7th semester. Most comapnies that would come here would be like vedanta , ashok leyland etc etc who mainly do mass hiring, th no of offers are quite low as for durig my time most companies qul do diversity and hiring would only select girls and the girls were low in numbers as compared to the boys so each girl recieved atleast 2-3 offers while rarely a boy would even rev=cieve a single offer. The highest package was offered by Vedanta but it was 13 lpa in ct in hand it would be arond 5-6 lpa , the average package was also the same around 5-6 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students placed would be around 30 percent but they inflated the numbers heavily but showing only the students who were eleigible as boys were mostle ineligible. My plans are to look for masters somewhere abroad.
