Remarks

As I said above. There is negative and positive of the college bt comparatively scms is a good college. We celebrate alla festivals superbly. Even Valentine's day ,holi , onam etc.people doesn't feel they are in a private college

Course Curriculum Overview

Good. My department is good very friendly and supportive.HOD(head of the department) is very frndly.we can always suggest our opinion for improving.we are going for nba accreditation and civil department is having indian concrete institute membership.

Internships Opportunities

We have an internship department. They provides internship helps.since I'm first year no experience still now their is no stipend.but since we all have to make activity points its complusory to attent 2 internship and iv

Placement Experience

We have good placement here especially from IT company. Most of the students are placed to these it companies. Oracle infosys wipro etc you can see.the placement list in the site. College gives very good help in improving language or communication.

College Events

We celebrate all programs in our college. Normally private college are strict and doesn't allow so much pgms bt we have onam Xmas newyear holi Valentine's day etc. You can see videos.in youtube. We also have arts day, sports day, ignis, vipanjika etc

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since its self financing college the fee is 75000. Bt they don't take any extra charges.not so expensive compared to other colleges.the management seat fee is 90000.the hostel rent and mess fees are 12000 and 3000/3500

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes we provide scholarship for students whose rank in below 20000 there is a fee reduction for them. And provides educational loan for students I think they have tie up with union bank. Hostel is free for scholarship students(i heard so)

Campus Life

We gabe volleyball basketball badminton football courts kabbidi team and many other teams. Sports are really active. Labs are very good and neat. Many extracurricular activities like music club dance sports language rtc clubs are.there

Hostel Facilities

8.5/10 hostel facilities are good a room with an accommodation for 3 people three study tables and chair three cupboard. Two Common bathroom in every floor. Terrace is having a study area also and a washing area. 3 Wardens are there they changes in every year.

External Expense: Rs.4000 - Rs.7000

Alumni/Alumna

Yes they are alumini network. Many of our alumini works in infosys, l&t,wipro etc we have many it companies taking students.seniors are very helpful and supportive. They organise every programmes nicely.

Exam Structure

3 internal exam or series and class test is very common after every module. Based on ktu University exam. Teachers always ask questions before taking class. And some teachers after taking the class. That is the reason for high result.

Admission

You have to write kerala engineering exam (keam) you have to get a rank of abt 20000 for merit admission. Since it is a self financing college fee for managment seat is 90000. Then you can give ur list of colleges u prefer. And they will call u for counselling

Faculty

The facilities are good. Most of them are young and newly graduated.very friendly and understanding.full freedom for doubt. Like in every college some facilities are boring. Bt so dedicated to their job.

Life at CET

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends. The other colleges i applied was all govt colleges.i couldn't got the rank to get there because i got less rank in keam exams.so i choose the best college i could get on my marks. I got 25526 rank in keam examination such that i cracked in here and also i wanted to be here because my super seniors where here they also insisted me that scms school of engineering is a good college.our college is a managemental college accredited by govt either we should crack keam exam or we should jee exam or we be nri quota. SSET- from the viewpoint of a student

I applied to government colleges and MITS ,RIST and FISAT too among with SSET. But I got confirmation letter from SSET in my first allotment itself. I choose SSET because it has a great infrastructure and wide possibility of opportunities. One of my relative was an alumni of this college and I got to know about the college from her perspective. The response I got from others whenever I asked about my college was really positive and hence I chose SSET. I never got rejection from other colleges I applied to, I simply chose to settle in the first college I got allotted after my KEAM Rank list got published. I chose SSET over other colleges because other colleges were really expensive and I never wanted to push my family to go through such a hard time just for my education. Even though I got admitted to a really great college with a high quality course the fees there in one sem was twice the amount I had to pay in SSET for a year The admission process of my college was quite simple.All we had to do was submit my certificates and sign a few papers. It Lasted only one and half hours. The eligibility to get here included passing the KEAM Exam and having 50% or more pass mark in plus two. The student must have studied Science subject with either Biology or Computer Science as the main Subject. My overall admission experience was really great.
