Exploring DSATM: Academics, Infrastructure, and Beyond

The course which I took is IOT CYBERSECURITY AND BLOCKCHAIN this a new course in many colleges. Since IOT technology is used in many devices these days it very high scope currently. The same goes to Cybersecurity and Blockchain technology since many companies,IT firms make sure that there documents,files are safe and secure the job opportunities for these students is very very high in the future. The courses thought in the college can play a significant role in developing our skills and experience to make us the best candidate for this job

In the year 2024 I paid a total of 279370 rs. The tution fees was 231040 rs, academic fees is 23000,skill lab fees is 15000 university fees of 3530 and examination fees of 6800 for admission taken through COMEDK.

There are 2 main cultural events held in the college that is BRAHMI and ANTARAGNI.Botg are held in the month of November and December. Apart from this there is an annual event held know as Esperanza. We have a huge library where there are wide variety of course related books, journals, text books etc which we can can access.There is an Digital libarary which is also available. There are many classrooms,physics lab, chemistry lab and digital labs. All the rooms consist of fans ,tables,chair,smart board,white board which are well maintained. We have a badminton court, squash court,table tennis,chess boards, basket ball court.The sports department holds regular events in the college. The college cricket team, football team, badminton team etc recruit students each year for both boys and girls. There almost 12-15 active clubs in the college such as dance,drama,music,media, photography,quiz, gaming clubs etc who hold events.

Currently I stay in a rented appartment.There are many pgs nearby whose fees is around 8-9 thousand a month with all the necessary facilities.There are many apartments available nearby whose rent affordable depending upon the size of the room. In hostel, they provide breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner everyday.The food here is average.But the facilities in hostel are really good.They a 3 sharing room with a bed, cupboard, attached bathroom.They are cleaned everyday and well maintained. Rooms are available for rents in Thallagattapura, udaypalya,and Brigade.

I had written KCET as well as COMEDK since these two were the main entrance exams to secure admission in private engineering colleges in Karnataka. Hence I had applied to various top tier college such as RV,Ramaya,Nitte,BMS,BNM,CMR,DSE, CAMBRIDGE, DSATM etc I had also secured a seat in CAMBRIDGE through management quota but choose to reject since I had got a seat in DSATM through COMEDK. I couldn't get admission in other colleges because the cut off was very high and I couldn't secure it through my rank in COMEDK. For taking admission in my college you can write KCET and COMEDK.You can also secure admission through management quota.The exam most preferred by students is KCET since fees is low and you can also get scholarship.The cutoff for KCET for my course in 2023 is around 17000 and COMEDK is 26000.

There are more 500+ teaching and non-teaching staff in the college and more than 20000 students. Most of the teachers that thought me were good. They were approachable anytime and taught us very well. Mr.Manjunath G S and Mrs.Sushma were the two best faculty from our department.They supported us academically as well as in other college related activities.They were always available for us and helped us throughout the year. Since the college is autonomous under VTU exams are held and the scheduled time without any delays. 2 internals exams are held each in a span of two months,including practical exam at the end of semester.Some of the subjects such as MATHS and DSA are tough compared to OS,DDCO,COMPUTER NETWORKS etc.There are other exams included in the course such as web technologies where we have to build projects such as website using Java,css,html which increase our knowledge on web development. These courses are based on industry requirement this are relevant for our placement.

The college is in the outskirts of the city so there are not much hangout sports outside the college.There are few cafes nearby which serve delicious food and also has a good ambiance. where we can have a good time with our friends. Famous hangout places inside campus is amphitheatre and canteen. Campus timings are from 9.30 am to 5.00pm and hostel timings are from 6.am to 9.30 pm. The area in and around the campus is very safe even at night.
