Model engineering college review

Course curriculum is kinda old and is only needed for interviews. But college has good groups which pushpa us to know and study more technically.My course is computer system and business systems it is comparatively better and more oriented about industry requirements

Placements are good for cs and ec batches .ec batches have the maybe best in Kerala . Almost everyone with decent academic background gets placed and average salary offered is 6 lakh per annum with highest coming near 33lpa

Our college have three feet structures ie, merit-20000 per sem, management -40000 per sem and nri almost 1lakh per sem. Many scholarships for sc st and others are provided..almost near 10000 we have to pay as caution and other fees at the time of admission

I'm happy with my campus life. Though class is a bit dull, there are a lot of clubs and communitues where you can find like headed people and chill. Also choosing mens hostel in my college was one of the best decisions I've ever made

I live in mens hostel and it's kind of okay and what we expect from a government hostel. We have 2 tables, 2chairs and 2 beds and a storage space. Mess is run by students and it's good. Hostel is alloted based on distance and hostel is located just near college.

Mainly it was due to what I heard about placements here. I had applied to various colleges across kerala and qualified for almost every college but having considered both apt course and a good college, I chose model engineering college. Admission is solely based on keam ranks and board exams for nri category

Faculty to student ratio is not bad. Permanent faculties are very qualified and good. I might not say the same about temporary teachers. Exams ,we have 2 internal exams and a sem exam every sem along with internal and external lab exam

There is no night life in just college .. buy there are a lot of hangout spots around as mec is located in a prime spot in kochi.. gyms and library are available is college and hostels . Hostel closing timings is 10pm and college is mostly empty at night.
