Course Curriculum Overview

2

The old syllabus which I'm currently studying is quite outdated.(2019 Scheme) The new one 2024 scheme is heard to be well and good. Teaching should be more of practical than theory in those programing papers. Even if a sem should be 5-6 months it finishes in 3-4. Which is burden for the students.

Internships Opportunities

2

Internship opportunities are not much provided for us in the clg.we students find internships outside clg and we go with our own expenses.Clg don't even mostly allow the approval like saying it is not needed as it is far. we will not be responsible and all.

Placement Experience

3

From 7th sem the clg is providing placement oppertunites.many companies hire Students. The percentage of students getting placed is around 40%. My plans after graduation is to pursue masters from Germany.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm paying an early fee if ?75,000 as tution fee.Apart from that around 25k as my bus fee.and miscellaneous of around 20k. I'm on merit...so the total fee for me is 1.2L/yr. As for NRI they are having ~1.5-2L/semester. Also there are people who are playing less than 50k/yr. There are many scholarships for fee waiver...like no hostel fee...no tution fee...those are under the rank basis and marks achieved in 12th class. Also people under sc/st category are having high fee waivers. The bus fees are increasing over yr by yr...the course fee for cs is 75k and for others are lower like upto 35k

Campus Life

4

The tech fest held is ITIHA Mostly conducted on the month March/April. The library facilities are good for reference and all.many journals are available. The whole campus is under cctv surveillance.2 cameras per class rooms and all the hall ways are under cctv.there is 3 lift facility.mostly 2 are turned on during class hrs

Admission

I chose Rajadhani Institute Of Engineering And Technology for my studies as from the knowledge I had.they had a good infrastructure and which I fell for. The surrounding area is also good.it is now top 11th clg in kerala. The teaching methods are quite old fashioned still ok. I got admitted to here with my KEAM rank.

Faculty

3

The faculty student ratio is quite good. In CS dept the faculties are not that friendly.they are approachable but still not the best like not too friendly except a few. Other departments the faculty members are heard that they are good. As for exams we are having 2 series exams and 1 sem exam per sem...apart from that teachers do conduct some class tests and all. The faculties are good as they help in studies and clear our doubts. Some faculties don't even have the subject knowledge that they are teaching.

Night Life

2

Gym facilities are available for hostel people. No night life for day scholars.tbey should leave the campus after clg hrs.which is not a good one. Ground are available but mostly not used.only during any sports meet time. Playing games/sports are not promoted always apart for the sports day.

As seniors said the average package is around 10lpa.If you have descent skills and above 8 cgpa you will get this average package. If you upskill yourself with effort which many students do here then you can also get above 15lpa which many seniors got.The highest package was off-campus by an ECE Student in Google despite having cgpa around 6.He had very good skills as a full stack developer.

Placement Experience:

Students normally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (3rd year). TIST has ties with many companies that visit the campus for placement drives every year. Some of the known recruiters include: TCS, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, Aspire Systems, Birlasoft, ITC Infotech, South Indian Bank, HTC Global, Schneider Electric, Danfoss, Rikun and others.Highest Package: Up to around ?10 LPA Collegedunia Average Package: Around ?3–4 LPA for many companies. Some department reviews suggest averages closer to ?3–4 LPA and up. Around 75–80% of eligible students get placed each year across various departments. Careers360

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.
