Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose information technology because we have a great department of IT and it has some fabulous teachers which is one of the greatest fest of Kolkata colleges. It's known as innovation which pay away for a many students to find their talent and establish themselves.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship opportunities are great. Our college had ties with a lot of different companies which provides our own students with a lot of internship opportunities. Basically helps the student in overall growth and the internships that our college provides improves the students, CV and their opportunity for getting jobs.

Placement Experience

5

Our college have a great placement facility like big companies like ITC Amazon Oracle comes to our college for the placements every year. It has a maximum placement of 50 to 60, lakhs and an average placement of 6 to 7 lakhs for the students, a college gives us a separate class every week for the placements from second year to the last year. If any student does not get placement from the college, they can pursue MBA from the same college which gives them a higher chance of placement from the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Institute of Engineering and Management is one of the best colleges in West Bengal, which is centrally located in Kolkata Sector Five. The year was fees which is being paid by every D BTech student, irrespective of the streams is approximately 7.5 lakhs which include tuition fees, caution fees, registration fees, administration, fee development and other compulsory charges during the course completion. The college takes an additional 1200 every semester for exam examination fees.

Campus Life

5

Our college is located in sector five of Kolkata, which is a corporate area. So college campus is not so great. It has three separate buildings for three separate departments and there is no playground features and separate things. Club activities are very minimal in our college, it basically focuses in academics.

Hostel Facilities

5

the Hostel feature is great which provides student with a good living, but the food quality of the Hostel is not value for the money. I would say as I stayed there for a whole year and they take one lakh rupees for two semesters. Our Hostel is slightly less developed compare to the Hostel of other colleges, the features are less and it's very strict for the students. It feels like suffocating.

Admission

I also applied for colleges like kiit Bhubaneswar colleges in Vellore and many other places in India. But I am fashion, it's me a lot because it is one of the best colleges in Calcutta and it has a great academic structure which is beneficial for the students. It also have a great placement facility at least students get a lot placed in this college. The eligibility exam for our college is our college haven't have their own exam IMJE and also students can enter through WBJE and JE Mains examination.

Faculty

4

the students from second year are given a mentor for every five students, so it's a 7 to 1 ratio for students to teacher. The faculties are very friendly with the students and guide them in every possible way for a better future. Some of the great faculty are like the HOD of BSH department dr Praveen Kumar is a phenomenal teacher as well as a guide as well as a friend for the students. And there are also some of the faculties who who puts extra pressures on the students without any reason like Amit Nandesh Sir, a BSH department, a physics faculty for the lab. He is not popular among the students because of a strict approach with the students. Our college host total six exams throughout a year . In a semester, we have three examinations midterm, one midterm two and terminal exam. In an terminal exam. We have 5 to 6 non-critical papers and six critical paper along with 4 to 5 laboratory subjects. The course curriculum is not quite relevant because between the midterm exams, there is not a lot of gap and it becomes quite hectic for the students during the internal exam because they have to give exams for span of 45 to 50 days all along.

Night Life

5

The nightlife in or around our college is not great, but it has a great library cafeteria for the students to study. Hostel and campus are not very close. It's far apart as it is in a place, but there's a note lot of free areas to build a big campus, so our college just has the educational buildings and a small basketball court and volleyball courts.

Other Applied Colleges

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin
