Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum is good, covering important subjects and offering options for students to specialize. it includes projects, internships which helps students prepare for jobs. however it could be improved by adding more courses that connects fields to match new trends in industries. the teaching methods could be more interactive. and exam schedule is manageable
Internships Opportunities
Bit mesra offers a range of internship opportunities for b pharm students, providing experiences in the pharmaceutical firms. I think internship projects typically involve tasks such as assisting in drug formulation, Conducting lab experiences, analysing research data, etc
Placement Experience
in my opinion, the placement for the b pharm course is not that good, with about 5% of total students usually starting from 7th semester. the highest package offered in recent years has been around 6-7 lpa with avg package being approx 3-4lpa. After completing this course, my plan is to either pursue master's in pharmacy or mba or maybe gain some work experience through internships or research labs
Fees and Financial Aid
For the academic year 2024–2025, the fee structure includes a tuition fee of ?1,35,500, a development fee of ?9,500, and an institute examination fee of ?7,500. Additionally, the hostel room rent is ?20,000, making the total yearly fees ?1,72,500. These charges cover the essential academic and accommodation expenses.
Campus Life
my overall experience in bit mesra during the 1st semester has been positive with good balance of academic and social activities. the campus is good there are so many opportunities for involvement in extracurriculars. the library is well stocked with range of books and journals for pharmaceutical department too. Classrooms are equipped with modern technologies like projectors and computers. Sport complex is also there with facilities for cricket, football, basketball, and indoor games, There are several students run clubs like ehsaas, dhwani, etc that organise events and activities. These clubs provide platforms for students growth
Hostel Facilities
the hostels facilities at bit mesra is small for ug students but comfortable. the rooms are generally shared with 2 students per rooms and each room is furnished with 2 beds, a study table and cupboard with a fan and lights. the hostel provides 24/7 Wifi and water supply and common areas like lounges. the meal quality in the hostel is decent with a rotating menu that includes veg and non veg options. the registration process for hostel is straight forward, usually dine during admission process. the hostel fees are affordable compared to other pvt colleges. and for pg students i think they also stay in hostels
Admission
i chose bit mesra because of its strong reputation with excellent faculty and industry connection that offers internships. the curriculum is designed to provide both theoretical practical knowledge making it a great choice for students. the admission process is based on the neet and jee main exams. i applied to other colleges offering pharmacy but i chose bit mesra for its best laboratories and it was also suggested by my brother. i didnt face any rejection but the competition was tough
Faculty
bit mesra has experienced and approachable teachers, ensuring students get the help they need. the course is welldesigned to match industry standards, combining theory with practical knowledge. exams are tough but fair, with marks divided between class tests, practicals, quizzes, attendance and final exams. the college uses a 10-point grading system, and most students do well, though the standards are strict. many teachers are great at explaining concepts, but some areas, like developing communication skills and updating lab equipment, could improve. despite a few issues with administration, the college provides a good learning environment for students
Interview Experience
Admission to bit mesra typically involves counseling based on exams like jee Main or neet ug, but for some programs, additional rounds such as group siscussion, personal interview, or a written test may be conducted. GDs focus on topics like the role of AI in healthcare or the impact of COVID-19, while PIs include questions about career goals, knowledge of the course, and subject fundamentals. The written test, if applicable, covers physics, chemistry, biology, and Aptitude. Preparation involves practicing mock GDs, revising 11th and 12th grade concepts, and refining communication skills
Night Life
the nightlife at bit mesra is relatively calm, as the campus is not located in a busy city center. The gym is situated inside the girls hostel and for boys its in the sport complex that close by 9-10pm while hostel timings vary for males and females. For female its before 9pm and for males maybe its 10-11pm. The common areas for hangout inside campus are hnc, Nescafe and apni rasoi that are popular spots. For late night hangouts, students gather in the hostels or the campus lawns
