Course Curriculum Overview

3

Regarding examinations comparing to what they teach and how fast they teach. It is simply like not good at all. For our first semester, we got very very less time of studying and the teachers were like their focus is only to complete the syllabus as soon as possible, I wasn't mentioning everyone, just a few professors. I think this is not fair at all.

Internships Opportunities

4

I am btech first year and first sem student. I cannot say all these things as I don't know what they are. But as I know a little, all of the top most companies have visited my campus and lot of were placed. This year, apple also visited and 6 were placed with more than 30 lpa. It was a good achievement I hope.

Placement Experience

4

As mentioned early, our college placements and ranking was good. I think from 5th or 6th semester, our campus starts taking placements but effective placements will be done from 7th semester. Placements percentage was more than 80 to 90%. I think it is more than 90% also. Our campus record was 70 lpa and average was around 12 lpa overall.

Fees and Financial Aid

Ive completed my first semester. In first sem, I have paid a lot of money. Initially, 45000 as counselling fees, 35000 as partial admission fees which is refundable ( not refunded yet) and 24000 of mess fees. From this sem I will pay 28100 as college fees and 17000 as mess and hostel fees. Following is the complete break of our fees(*NOTE THIS IS FOR ONE SEMESTER NOT ONE YEAR*) Tuition fee*# 62500 Admission fee 3500 Institute Caution money 10000 Convocation Fee 1000 Alumni Activity Fee 1000 Institute Development Fee 2000 Training and Placement Fee 1500 Laboratory Fee 2000 Library charge 1200 Computing and Internet Charge 3000 Examinations Fees 1200 Electricity and water charge 1700 Student Activity fund 2500 Comprehensive insurance premium, Health Care and wellbeing charge 1500 Hostel seat Rent 10000 Hostel Establishment Charge 1500 Hostel Caution Money 5000 Totalling all these fees gives 1,10,000. (*NOTE THIS IS FOR ONE SEMESTER NOT ONE YEAR*) For categories, only the tution fee will be vanshied. Remaining all are mandatory. I haven't received any scholarships but some of my friends received.

Campus Life

4

Our campus life has both pros and cons. Campus rules and regulations were horrible as mentioned earlier. Moreover, campus life was good and it was peaceful. Range and accessibility of books in library was very broad. Sports and extracurricular activities were good.

Hostel Facilities

4

Rooms were just ok in first year. Second year rooms were very good but going to 3rd and 4th year hostels were horrible. Meal quality was just ok and menu was nice. As you know, you can't and you must not expect much from college food. As it was first day, registration for room in hostel took a lot of time but everything was fine.

Admission

As this is National institute of technology, we must clear JEE Mains conducted by NTA. I am in computer science and engineering branch. I got 99.24% and my rank was around 2800. Cutoffs and eligibility all was fair for this examination.

I think this is not fair at all. Some professors are not good at all. They don't know how to teach at all, but also don't know the subject too. Some professors will just read the PPTs as it is. And some professors exam evaluation was horrible, it was a descriptive examination but they needed answer to be correct for full marks or else they will give 0 marks despite of how much correct the solution was. And toughness of exams was mild but can be cleared with a good preparation easily.

Night Life

4

Our campus comes with one gym and lots of cafeterias and eating stalls. Our library is very huge and helpful. General timings to roam were upto 10 pm. There were so many places to roam outside the campus. The top place which was around 150 km was Darjeeling and also Kolkata. It was safe around nights

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management, healthcare, media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting, education, sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles.
