Remarks

College have very small campus. But it is adjustable. The main problem is irregularities of the classes. Labs conditions are not so good. Some the facility are not for the students. Unions are bad in our college

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The all type of graduate courses are offered in our college. Arts, commerce and science. All courses are affiliated with Calcutta University. The examination schedule are as per University exam calender.

Placement Experience

1

The placement department is extremely poor in our college. Don't expect they gonna place anyone in job. Most of the student didn't get job through college. Either they move in corporate sector or preparing for government jobs.

College Events

2

A number of event is celebrate in our college. Social function, welcome, farewell, teacher's day, republic day, pujas are the common. An educational as well as fun environment are there. Many other activities are there to participate depending someone's choice.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is not expensive a middle class family can easily afford it. Maximum cost for studying in the college will be Rs. 3000 per month depending on the course which someone opted. The computer science fees is the highest in our college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no loan or scholarship facility available right now. But someone will get fees concession depending upon your family income. If they belongs to extreme poor family or very poor financial condition then write a letter to principal and the concern authority look into the matter and Grant it.

Campus Life

2

Labs, tours by geography and history department, social activities are some extracurricular activities of our college and these are average not too good not too bad. There are also sports department gymnastics department NCC( national cadet corp).

Alumni/Alumna

Not all. They all engaged in there professional life. Most of the senior students didn't attaint the reunion parties etc. Thats why from last year reunion had stopped. But teachers are so helpfull they guide to pursui your dream.

Admission

First apply through the official site of the college fill the form made the payment. Wait for the merit list. Once the merit list generated see your name. Contact the college and take the counciling date and time be present on that day on time. Follow the procedure as directed by professor pay the admission fees take your documents

Faculty

2.5

Faculty is average. Science departments and commerce department faculty is so good as per my knowledge. But arts department is not as good as it has to be. Lack of teacher for few subjects. Classes not held properly. Student have no attendence pressure.

Placement Experience:

The placement statistics are off the charts, with 367 offers being made to 361 students in the recent edition. The student can seat for internshps offered by diffent companies that visit th campus in their pre-final year, while they are eligible to seat for the placements in their final year only. Apart from this there also other restrictions for seating in the placements like Cg should be above 8.5 and there should not have been any disciplinary charges against you, etc. The companies visiting the college also have their own preferences for selecting the students. In 2024-25 the highest CTC is nearly 2.5 crores p.a. offered to a student of CS branch. The EC department getting the most number of offers i.e. 73.

Placements and job oppurtinities are less since this is an undergraduate college offwering honours degree. Though there is a placement and career councelling cell that looks over this matter. Placements are offered only in a few subjects, such as industrial chemisrty and computer science. The rate of placements are very high and come with high packages. Though I am not interested in placements, but I have started taking preparations for compititive exams. Such preparations are very supported here, rather than jobs and placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the theory part of our curriculum isn't much relevant or prepares for real - world applications, only some basic information is what I feel is necessary, although the lab and the practical part prepares us for real - world applications and teaches us a lot of things related to photography, news paper page building, survey report, etc. I believe they should have a better approach and teach more relevant real - world or in demand market skills which'll help the students in the future. Exams are conducted 2 times in a year, once between March - april, and second time between August - September.
