Course Curriculum Overview

Well, the Assam board only focuses on indigenous and bookly knowledge, we do not get to study much about the outside world and whats going on in real time. I wish write the answers I got in real life through experimenting during exams but well if its not in the book then I cannot. I suggest the faculty of B.Borooah College to have the students go on field trips, excursions and what not but we rarely get to see that now. As of the timings of exams, well they are good enough but I do suggest them to have exams on a frequent basis so us students can easily cope up with the topics. The exams are mediocrely difficult but its not that easy as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

Hi, my name is Kabyajyoti Patowary. I am currently in BSc Chemistry Major in B.Borooah College. First of all the environment is great here even though there are some times that classes are not done properly due to college elections and other class exams. Ayways to the main subject, the fee structure is great in science department as I don't have to pay much as compared to private colleges and the education is as good as them. I paid around 4000 INR to during the admission process for the whole year. There is no monthly fees but just a one time fee annually. This helps me alot as I am living alone in this city and have trouble managing money. Thats it. Thank you

Campus Life

This question would be one of my favourites. First I would discuss about the freshers. Its a banger, the faculty invite various artists at every freshers and we have a dance program too. Along with this we get to have food which is quite good. Second I wanna say about is the student elections, it might be chaotic but it does bring our inner self out more, this is a very good opportunity who want to express themselves in deeds but cannot do so in words. Last but not the least its the sports week. Man this would be the best week of the year, we would not have any classes but just have a sports war on the field, we get to participate in sport events in whatever sport. The events are limited but to me its quite enough as they are very well known by most of the students. I wish they could add some combat sports too. Yeah, it would be half contact ofcourse.

Admission

Well for this question, I have all the answers. My life is a busy life, I have recently went to play International games in a sport which I have been practising since a long time. Taking admission in this college make my sports life much easier, the faculty might not understand but they do give proper leaves and what not when I give an application to the authorities. Along with this I do get support from the Union Body as well. I could have taken admission in other colleges, I also passed many entrance exams but those colleges were not upto what I wanted in my life. I hope to be a business man with the knowledge of science along with playing sports and earning the respect of the nation.

Faculty

Exam papers are not that hard (if you study) but overall its a good paper which covers most of the course that was allotted to us. Most of the faculty people are good towards us students but some are there who do not want hear some of the students if they cannot attend the class due to some serious issue or they do not get good marks. About the marking scheme, it depends on the teacher whoever is checking. Some teachers tend to be very strict and some teachers do give step marking or like we are making our own answers which are not in book but are correct. Thats it

Interview Experience

Nothing but my marks for previous were enough to get the admission. Well I am very thankful for everything my parents did though. Well there was a time when I was asked to bring the original marksheet as they did not believe me.

Night Life

5

Nightlife is not that great as the college is closed most of the nights except if there are some events going on but I do like how I can walk out to the food stalls and keep munching on the various fast food. For the gym, there is no gym. The hostel is a great place for me as I feel it like its my second home and all the people living there are my brothers. Well there is the pond which could be considered the "famous" hangout place in my college. Its not that much of an attraction but it does give a soothing feel when I sit beside it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was a major factor that influenced my decision to choose this course, as it is well-structured and offers a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. The syllabus covers essential concepts in a systematic manner, starting from the basics and gradually advancing to more complex topics. The inclusion of practical sessions, assignments, and project work made the course appear relevant and aligned with current academic and professional requirements. This thoughtful design assured me that the course would help in developing analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and subject clarity, which are important for both academic growth and career development.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choosed the course because I dont have so much money to study for btech and all and also I didn't prepare for jee or neet so, the next thing come is mind is bsc that is in botany or zoology as I liked bio more than any other subjects. Yaa by reading botany I can know many things about plant and trees. The improvement that they can do is release a book according to the syllabus by the university and also add few more new teachers such that student can be friendly with them and ask their doubt . For me I think exam timing should be done... Like one before durga puja and one around December . And the difficulty level should be easy .

Course Curriculum Overview:

Areas for improvement: more industry collaborations, guest lectures, and hands-on projects. Some subjects feel outdated and could be updated. Teaching methods could incorporate more interactive sessions and case studies. Exams are held semester-wise, with a mix of easy and challenging questions. Difficulty level is manageable with consistent effort. Frequency is okay, but sometimes feels rushed. Overall, the curriculum provides a solid foundation, but could benefit from more flexibility and modernization to better prepare students for the industry.
