Course Curriculum Overview

2

So I will rate the course curriculum as not good at all because the entire course curriculum is much more theoretical and not practical. You will get so much confused after learning that later you will not be able to learn the required skills that are needed for the industries. I must say that the curriculum should be more practical-based rather than theoretical-based and also give the required skills and knowledge to the students which is used in the industries.

Placement Experience

2

I don't understand how the companies are selecting or short-listing the students. I believe that their past class 10th and 12th marks should not be a barrier because when a student is improving at present why a student should not get a chance to sit for a particular placement? Also, the college will not help you get placed because they don't even care at all. They haven't given any proper training and guidance to students at all. We have just given our hard-earned money to the college just for the degree certificate. They also didn't tell us in the 1st year that an aptitude exam along with coding would be taken, if they told us at the start then we would start preparing from the 1st year onwards. Some of the companies come till now and made an offer of 4LPA to 5.5LPA approx. My plans are if I will not get placed then after the completion of the degree I will start preparing for the jobs by myself.

Fees and Financial Aid

When I got admission to this college in the year 2021 the overall college fee structure given to me was Rs. 4,83,800 where I had to pay yearly Rs.1,20,950 which includes registration fees, development fees, lab fees, etc. But as of now dated 23/12/2024 the fees have already increased and I don't know what is the fee structure of the college so you can contact the college by making a phone call meet the accounts department. There is also the availability of a scholarship for the students If their parents income is less than maybe 5 LPA. You can check the official portal of the swami Vivekanand scholarship program for accurate details. I feel that if you are willing to pay this amount of money yearly then don't opt for this college go to another college because ultimately you will not get any support from the college. I am a student at this college so I know. Take my word and move to another college.

Campus Life

4

So my overall campus life is good, made a few friends and made memories with them because ultimately memories will leave. I haven't joined any of the clubs because I feel that joining these clubs will be time-wasting. So If someone wants to join then they can join for sure. There are many clubs available such as Megatronix, Aloha, Sargam, etc. I enjoyed the farewell most because at that time you will realize this will be the farewell of ours one day and you will lose your friends whom you have met as a stranger and made a family.

Admission

So I have chosen this college over other colleges because this college is near to my home and also at that time I am not aware that it is not a good college at all because no one ever told the truth. We always hear that it is a good college, a good college from others but I don't understand what is good about this college. No indoor games are available at all, and no physical activities are there, I believe that with study there should be some physical activities for the students such that a student must be physically active. One of the key things that I disliked was that there was no playground for students at all but every other college has at least a playground.

Faculty

1

When a class is taken approx 60 students are there and 1 faculty will be teaching a particular subject. So I will say don't be shy while asking any question because you are giving your fathers hard earned money to them. The faculty who teach economics is Partha Roy sir and he is very good at teaching economics, and the faculty who teach Industrial management subjects is Rituparna Mam & Arpita Mam who is also good at teaching management subjects. Also, lab assistants like Debasis sir are good at teaching OS Lab, and Networking Lab. But you need to go and communicate with sir for more understanding. I will not take the names of the faculty members but I will say many of them teach every individual concept in a very complicated way that we don't understand. I don't understand why they can't teach us the way we learn on YouTube. There will be 4 internal Continuous Assessments. 2 Assessments will be very easy just PPT making and Report Writing and 3rd Assessment will be by a written exam and 4th Assessment will be online mode which is also easy but you need to go to college and give your CA4 which will be taken by the University. The Assessment of a total mark of 25 will be happened & 5 marks for attendance. The end sem examination of total marks is 70 and internal 30, therefore total 100 marks. Out of 70, you must score 30 marks so that you can get at least passing marks. There are no passing marks as such but you must score 30 marks so that you can be on the safe side, do remember your CGPA score matters at the placements, so try to maintain a 7 CGPA throughout each semester such that you get eligible for your placement activities.

Night Life

3

So I would prefer not to roam around the college late at night because after 7 pm the roads will become completely lonely and maybe bad things can happen especially for girls. Those who are staying at the hostel can roam because they are staying at the hostel and sometimes also going inside the college at night to fill up their water bottles etc. You can go to Acropolis mall because it is very near to the college and also you can go to South City by taking 1 bus directly. These are the common places where you can hang out and watch movies by missing out on some classes. The campus timing is from morning 10 am to evening 6 pm maximum.

The curriculum under MAKAUT is quite comprehensive, which is one of the reasons I choose this course. With making the foundation strong in first year with subjects like maths, physics, chemistry and then the core subjects in the later years. In terms of real life application, lab work, project work and projects make us ready for the industry. The syllabus is also alligned with the competitive exams like GATE.
