Remarks

Students can study here as they want it to be. Teachers are very helpful and take care of their beloved students. Friendly atmosphere prevails here and Teacher-Student interaction is very good. However Practical experience is the most important part of this degree and the facilities are good.

Course Curriculum Overview

The B.Sc Agriculture course is a 4 year long course comprising of many classes, practicals and exams. Students get taught in semester system. Currently the senior most batch(2015-2019 session) who are studying in the last semester of the university had to face two short tests of 25 marks each, one End Term exam of 50 marks and one practical exam of 100 marks. This exam structure remains upto 7th Semester. In 8th semester students had to pursue Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) programme and submit group as well as individual projects followed by Group Discussion and Central Viva. After passing all these hardles students are rewarded with B.Sc(Agriculture) Hons. degree.

Placement Experience

Job placement has postponed as of now. Earlier upto the year 2011 students got opportunity of direct placements on several Govt. undertaken banks like Canara Bank, Central Bank, Bank of India etc. through interview process. No availability of stipend.

College Events

This university witnesses many events like Netaji Jayanti, Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti etc. Saraswati Puja, Biswakarma Puja are also celebrated with great pomp. Annual Athletic Meet, Annual Cultural Fest etc. are also celebrated with gaiety.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is obviously feasible. ?1250 is required as Semester charge in each semester. No hostel charge is required and students only have to bear their personal expenses like tiffin charges, meal charges along with the semester charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no facility of scholarships in this university and students have to bear their own expenses like semester charge, meal charge, tiffin charge etc. Loan facility for students is simply not there to be precise.

Campus Life

Laboratory facilities are average. Their is plenty of sports equipments available for use of students. Gymnasium facilities are also their. Students' Canteen facility is also their at reasonable price. Playground is also there so students don't face any problems regarding sports and exercises.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are quite good. No additional charge is required. Rooms are facilitated with two ceiling fans and two tube lights. Each room is allotted for 2-3 students. Rooms are of medium size and of good condition. No option for free Wi-Fi.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni Network is good. Seniors are caring and always concerned about the wellness of their junior fellows. University faces Annual Convocation Programme every year. Former students from BCKV are present at every corner of the country so alumni network is nothing short of amazing.

Admission

The admission process requires the marks of 4 subjects(Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English) obtained in 12th standard. Merit list is formed according to the marks of those 4 subjects. To be eligible for applying in B.Sc course one must acquire above 55% marks in aggregate of those 4 subjects. Students get selected by counselling process which goes upto 3rd counselling. Thalassemia Test report is essential in case of admission.

Faculty

There are three faculties in this university namely Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Horticulture, and Faculty of Agricultural Engineering. Each faculty is comprised of several branches or subjects. As an example under Faculty of Agriculture one should study Agronomy, Soil Science, Genetics & Plant Breeding, Entomology, Agricultural Extension etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The exam was divided into 3 parts I.e 1st mock (15) marks,2nd mock(15 mark) and then final (50mark) and rest 20 mark as practiCal and field work.the students who do class regularly,is easy to pass because teachers are awesome..but if anyone miss class then it's hard to understand by reading books. The guard during exam is too hard..so those students who read concentrately are passed easily .. and those who don't read whole year and only read exam night they failed..
