- Toilets are very dirty and cleanliness in toilet are very less
- College canteen is very unhygienic and staffs are not good
- Drainage system is not good, whenever there is rain there is flood like situation
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is excellent, it gives us knowledge about pure mathematics, I personally learn so much things here , our proffesors gives us the knowledge about iit jam and research fields , teaching methods include smart studies , we have our own computer lam projectors are used to improve learning . The exams are very good and the difficulty level of exams are moderate .
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees of b borooah college depends upon the course , in my course in bsc mathematics is 7000 thousand yearly , and a fees of around 1600-2000 is taken during registration of examination in which 300 of examination center fees is included , for those whose family income is less than 2 lakhs per annum get the additional chance of free admission. The get the admission free of cost. Practical( lab) fees which is included in registration fees vary according to the subjects of studens , additional aid fund is given to graduation students who have better performance and attendance during graduation.
Campus Life
There are no such annual fest in our college but we celebrate many festivals like bihu , diwali where our proffesors meet and make our memories more sweet, library is one of the finest here with thousands of books , a wide varity of books can be found here in hem baruah library , in class there are cameras , projectors , high class bench and tables , the class is very productive, here we have here we have body building club, food sales club, yoga club where you get ample of opportunities
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is very fine here with a very well senior junior interaction, here in the hostel we are provided bed ,table chair , shoe reg and other things like matress, plate and bucket mug are to be taken by students ,we have very fine cook , vegetarian have options to eat paneer and vegitable. Hostel is avery affordable place to live and learn .
Admission
I have applied for different colleges in this locality but I have to say this here , this college is outstanding and can't be compared to other colleges we have our own achievements , our studnets score top ranks in the university, admission is based upon merit of the student , only the top 20 % students got a chance to study here , if you want to study you must score above 80%
Faculty
The teachers are very approachable and the help us like our father and mother , the students to teacher ratio is 38:1 , the faculty I like the most is Dr.Ripa Kataki mam, she is very experienced and give us very precised notes , she also takes care of us and ask us what we are doing to improve , like a mother she take care of us . There are basically two exams one is sessional and other the semester final exam . Course curriculum is very good and it help us to learn new things
Night Life
Gum is basically active during evening time where you can make yourself fit , after college time there are students everwhere can be seen playing badminton, football, volleyball, athelatics etc night life is amazing , hostel is very good place for those who came here from distinct places of india .famous hangout places are gandhi mandap, nehru stadium, digholi pukhuri etc
