Course Curriculum Overview
The Curricular covers wide range of subjects such as Financial Accounting, English, Business Economics, Legal Aspects of Business, Computerised Accounting (Tally) and many such subjects which prepares the students for real-world applications and professional academic pursuits. The Examinations are rated moderate being not very difficult as well as not a cake walk
Internships Opportunities
The College provides vast range of internship opportunities. Companies such as EY, Delloite, Goldman Sachs, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) recruiting students for internship with stipend normally starting from 10,000 a month to 30,000
Placement Experience
Students can sit for campus placements in any semester. The companies which visit the campus are Delloite, Goldman Saches, Accenture and many more companies which look for recruiters. Around 15 percent of the students get placed after going through several interviews. The highest package veing provided is 26 lakhs per annum and the average being 6 lakhs rupees. I aim to be a Chartered Accountant after completing my degree
Fees and Financial Aid
Currently paying 104000 annually overall for the programme. 5000 rupees non-refundable fee paid during admission which adds upto 109000. Students from Karnataka pay 84000 annually with 5000 non-refundable fee during the admission process. The SC/ST/OBC students are not disclosed.
Campus Life
The campus life is very lively, beautiful and provides various opportunities in terms of clubs and events. The major events being Prarambh, Prayas and many more. There are two libraries in the Campus with wide variety of books and journals. Sports opportunities are given with sporting events like DOCathon and annual sports taking place during the year. The Department Clubs consist of Wall Street Society, Udaan, Last Minute Productions and many more
Admission
I applied for St. Xavier's College, Kolkata and Jain University, Bangalore other than Christ University. I got admitted in all of the colleges but I chose Christ because of its academic excellence, diverse culture and career opportunities. The admission process requires students to go through an entrance test and then an interview, the clearance of which will confirm your admission in the Christ University
Faculty
The Faculty-to-student ratio is good. Every professor is approachable. The faculty members are very knowledgeable in their respective field of study. The examinations consist of 3 continuous internal assessments and an end semester examination. The three Continuous Internal Assessments are marked out of 20, 50 and 20 respectively which is converted into 45. The End semester is of 100 marks converted into 50. 5 marks are awarded for attendance
Night Life
The university has gym facility open for students everyday from 6 in the morning to 7 at the evening. There are wide range of cafeterias in the campus which provide delicious food. The hostle students are not allowed to leave the college campus after 9 pm. The locality is safe at night with the police patrolling after 10 pm
