Life at GEC Palakkad

I completed my diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering so I choose BTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. In BTech life practical experience is less we have only so much of theory papers. Improve placement trainings .Add more practical workshops.

From sixth semester onwards we can attend placements.They provide one placement training section (5days) on sixth semester. Siemens, Teachnook,Qburst etc. Based on companies recruitment no.of offers varies. Mostly software companies are came to this college for recruitment. EEE Core placement is less compared to other's. Searching for job.

I'm a LET student so during admission time I have to pay 15000 only.We have to pay sem wise fees (Year-wise fees is 17200). SC,ST students have to pay the first time but it is refunded through Egrantz. Tuition fee:6300 per year. Special fee(PD,R):370,1740. Arts and sports fee:530 per year. Student Administration fees: 1050/yr

Association day, INVENTO NATIONAL FEST. Books according to our course subjects are in our college library. Journals are also available. Arts and sports day are also conducted in every year. Mostly Volleyball,handball, football, cricket, badminton,khokho etc are in our college. Robotics club, ISTE , IEEE,SAE, fashion ,dance etc are the clubs.

I'm in Government Ladies hostel so I have to pay maximum 3300 per month. WiFi facilities are also available.seperate big mess hall , washroom are provided in each floor on both corners. According to other private hostels meal quality is very good and clean . Near to our college

I'm a LET student so I applied in CET,GEC Thrissur and other government colleges. According to my LET rank I got admission in GEC palakkad. In other private colleges fees structure is more so I can't adopt that so mostly i choose government colleges.

Faculty to student relationship is so friendly. In EEE department Boys: Girls ratio is 60:40. We can easily approaches to the facilities the are always ready to clear our doubts.Total eight semesters and 56 papers(subjects).I like all the facilities.

Gym facilities for girls are upto 6pm after 6pm for boys.Library are open 9.30 to 4.30. Ladies hostel closing time is 9 pm. Campus grounds are always open. EEE block, cafeteria, handball court, ground are the famous Hangout areas.
