Course Curriculum Overview

The exams are conducted twice per semester and the viva and practicals once a semester . The papers are from the notes . The events are too many making it difficult for us to prepare fir the exams and even completion of the practicals are necessary.

Class Size: 113Course Fees: INR 1200000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The internship opportunities are roo good if you got good skills you can easily bag an internship in jindal steelor tata steel for about 8 lakhs or above . You shoukd have really good skills to get a good on campus internship

Placement Experience

The percentage of students getting placed is above 98 percent The companies visiting are tata steel wipro google The 7th semester students are eligible for campus placements Last year the highest package was of 1.58 cr

Fees and Financial Aid

I will be paying 3.5 lakhs per year The first time you have to pay approximately 2.5 lakhs in first semeter then approx 1.5 lakhs per semester including hostel fess mess fees They have to pay the same fees except for the ones belonging to sc st will get full fee waiver And gen ews will get two thirds of the fee waiver

Campus Life

The tech fest ojass held in feb or march The cultural fest culfest in January The sports fest urja in october or November The library have a vast collection of books with multiple copies The sports and tech are too good The clubs are very active going to other college fests and even participating in their own college fest making all of them really memorable

Hostel Facilities

The girls have triple sharing rooms and the rooma are very big the food is okayish. The menu is diverse. The boys have double shring in first years and single sharing from second years they have a bit small room. The hostels are really affordable

Admission

I am currently pursuing btech in mechanical engineering . I secured 96.78 percentile in jee mains then i filled out my choices in josaa and got this college. The only process through which one can get into my college is scoring good percentile in jee mains

Faculty

The teachers are very educated and are very great they teach too nicely with all the assignments and classworks it is very efficient to attend their classes . The questions in the exams are directky either from the notes or the assignments given

Night Life

The hostels have night canteen the in time for girls histel is 9pm while that of boys is 10 30 pm there are 4 hostels for girls And 7 hostles for boys .the closing tome of library is 9 pm and opening time is 8 am The famous hangout places are nescafe , amba store , cafeteria

My 1st Encounter with the College

Remarks:

Outstanding faculties having a good depth of knowledge.. Well interactive. Ideas and Knowledge is easily projected by them. They follow a stringent standards while conducting experiment, viva-voice in labs. Their teaching style and attitude is good and generally the language of interaction between student and faculty is English. So in a nutshell the faculty is up to the mark and satisfactory.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
