Course Curriculum Overview

3

Actually the reason for choosing this couse is due to the interest in chemistry But when considering about the Job opportunities and salary packages it is very low, we have to work for 15k at starting which is very hard for a person who have done postgraduation in chemistry, also this course is mostly theory based practicals are very short, the syllabus and course structure need to be changed we have to make it like proffessional courses, there will be no value if we study only theory the practicals needs to promoted

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees yearly is about 55000,actually the fees has been charged for sem wise at first 36500 has been taken during the admission time then 22500 each for the rest of 3 sems so approximately 1 lakh 20 thousand will be charged for the whole course.. The fees structure is similar for every students even for management students also.similar scholarships like prof Joseph mundasseri scholarship has been given for the students who have 80% mark in degree, The college campus is also good but the college doesnot offer placements

Campus Life

3

The campus life was average, st. Pauls has a very spacious campus, also the college arrages different programmes once in every 3 months like culturals, unionday, sports day etc, the college has a very vast playground where intercollege crickets tournaments where held the college gives great importance to sports

Admission

Actually I have opted for this college is because it is near my house actually there are only a very few colleges that offer msc programes in our district the rest of the colleges that I have got admission are outside ernakulam so when I got admission here which is also near by my house I chose this college

Faculty

3

Among the faculty members some of them are overly qualifed and some are just average, the lectures given by the faculties are average, some of the faculties are friendly and some are not so, we cant say that they are approchable if a problem arises when come into exams there are total 15 papers for the couse the first to 3 rd sem consists of 4 papers Each and the last sem consists of 3 papers it is very difficult to clear these papers because it is extremely tough and also the gap between Each exams is very short..

Interview Experience

2

No I didnt face any interview or group discussion the admission was based on the marks scored in degree since it is an admission for pg course the degree marks play a crucial role.. In it.., also I fot admission in community quota seat so the college belongs to christian management so I belong to latin catholic community so I got admission

Night Life

1

Night life is average usually the college closes around 6 pm so there will be no night life for students if there is any function or other celebrations it may open around 7:30 not more than that.. There is open gym, cafeterias and library facilities in college.. But only from 8 am to 6 pm

I choosed to study msc applied psychology in kerala university. Because it offers my interested specialization ( organizational behaviour) . The course provides three specializations - clinical , industrial and educational. As it is applied psychology it equipes us to become more practical.I wish the placement cell to be more efficient in our university. Because the placements they offers are limited

Obviously this physics course is tough but the influence of the teachers and other staff made us too motivated and the systematic exam schedule helped us to complete our portion before the exams and there is some more time for the revision purpose.. There teaching method are so useful and they treat us so politely and in friendly nature. So its too easy to clear doubt and feel comfortable to ask them and clear anything.. Its so helpful for us to complete our exam nicely...

Remarks:

JEE Rank was the main factor. The facilities like hostel, labs, etc mentioned in the IIT Palakkad website. During the allotment process, one senior girl student of my branch contacted me and cleared all my doubts whether it was small or big, placement details, etc. After the rankings were released, based on the previous years cut-off ranks, I was able to get a fair idea about the colleges I would be able to join among all the IITs, NITs, IIITs. Based on JEE Mains rankings, NIT or IIITs can be chosen. Based on JEE Advance ranking, IIT can be chosen. Also, 2 mock allotment will take place which gives a fair idea of which allotment we will get. These mock allotment will be based on our preferences. We can change them after the mock. Then the actual allotment will start. Once we finalise our preferences and lock them, there will be 7 rounds of allocation. 3 options will be given in each round-Float, Freeze,Slide (details will be clearly mentioned in the website). Once you are allocated a seat in any round, document verification will take place (seat acceptance fee must be paid at this stage).
