Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course was a bit eased out considering I took a general course and not a honours one. University syllabus same for all and classes were apt. Got a number of holidays due to election and all so not that stressed curriculum for general students

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid like around 3k for each semester which is very nominal. I didn't avail for any scholarships as such but saw my friends getting those scholarships. Overall helpful staffs.Yearly the fees should be around 6-7k

Campus Life

4

The college environment is really environment friendly with gardens and it has a big field too. The canteen though not great in the beginning later was changed into quite a spacious one. Also the events and cultural programs were pretty good.

Admission

My sole reason for choosing this college was it's NCC unit. I was in touch with the seniors even before joining the college. And since it has a pretty good reputation of being a harassment free campus...I chose this.

Faculty

4

Our professors were really helpful. Attended classes quite often and regular classes were still a thing back in our days. Never had any issues with any faculty members. Overall quite helpful in times of need

Night Life

4

I never really had any nightlife in college so can't say anything about it. But I did visit college late hours due to NCC events and there is nothing to be worried about. The guard and safety of your vehicle are nothing you need to worry about

Placement Experience:

I'm not sure but I think from 3rd year we will be eligible for placements. There are many finance companies, banks like HDFC, SBI, Canara,etc... & companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Deloitte, PWC,etc.... The highest package last year was like 9.64 LPA & in the year before it was 10 LPA while the average is around 2-2.5 LPA. Around 20% of the total strength gets placement. Even only few % of the total strength applies for the placements. My plan is to take a placement if I can or if not then off campusing and then gather work experience & do MBA later which will give me very benifits.

Placement Experience:

Placements were not there earlier. But our batch was the first one to get placement at St Joseph's College Darjeeling. To be honest It is not a college you should target if you are looking for placement. The companies were too small . The roles are way to entry level . Highest placement was around 40000 per month but it was an inside sales role so many opt out. There is not official data about placement . My plan was to look for off campus jobs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I am from Commerce background so I need to make my career on this way so I choose this course . The faculty and student receive is not good the students and the faculty ratio is 10 : 5 The faculties are educated from various university and institutes they know everything but they are unable to delivered them to us as because they are some aggressive attitude. In every six months there is a semester and it is very difficult to pass if you don't study anything from the first.
