Course Curriculum Overview

3

The College is well reputed and specially the Commerce department. It is better than many Govt colleges. I wanted to go for the field of Finance so I chose this course. The curriculum is being improved and updated to make sure it helps the students in real world applications but it can be developed much more. The Teaching methods are nice but the Course curriculum is not that great and you can't expect high salary after following the curriculum. The frequency of exams are low and their difficulty level are mid.

Internships Opportunities

4

You can avail the Internship in the 4th semester where you will have to work for atleast 1 month. It is a compulsory internship for all the students. This is a new thing added to the curriculum so the names of companies and roles offered aren't available till now.I haven't done the Internship yet so I can't rate it yet but according to the seniors it is good.

Fees and Financial Aid

The B.Com(Hons) is a 4 year course. The fees are 3600/Semester so basically 7200 per year for All students. The Admission Fees is Rs.4100 (One-time) for Unreserved Students and the reserved category students can get upto 20% off on the Admission fee. You get the options of Scholarships as well: The Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship: You can get Rs.12000/year from this scholarship , the amount is same for both the Reserved and Unreserved Students. Kanyashree: This scheme is for girls only it provides them Rs.25000(one-time) National Scholarship: You can also apply for Scholarships on the National Scholarship Portal where you can get scholarship in a range of Rs.10000 to 25000/year depending on certain conditions. There are also several other schemes and scholarships that you can apply and avail. Students requiring An education loan can apply on the Student Credit Card scheme and get their education loans availed

Campus Life

4

The annual social fest 'PRAYAS' is held every year typically in the month of January and several celebrities are invited to perform. The Central Library has a range of many books and journals and you can read and borrow it. There are projectors installed in the classrooms for modern learning. You get to play many indoor games such as Carrom, Chess, Table tennis, etc. There is also a ground so you can also play outdoor games such as football, cricket, etc. There are some clubs such as the Photography club, Eco club, etc.

Admission

I applied for some more colleges such as Goenka College, Jaipuria College, AJC Bose college, etc. and I also got chance their but the problem was that the colleges are very far from my home and it's not possible to travel daily and moreover I am pursuing other professional courses also so I didn't want to waste my time on travelling much and So I chose this college over others because it is nearby my home and it is also well reputed. You can apply through the Centralized Portal for admissions.

Faculty

5

The faculties of Commerce department are supportive and good, they guide the students and help them. I would say all of the faculties are good because they try to help the students as much as possible. There are not that many exams but the difficulty level is medium. Some students fail to clear the exams. The Course curriculum is overall good but some other Skill development can be done to make the students corporate ready.

Night Life

3

You can't roam in the college premises at night as the college closes in the evening. So you can't go inside the campus at night. But you can explore the gym, library and canteen till the evening and they provide you good services. There are not too many famous hangout spots nearby. The colleges opens at 6 o'clock in the morning and closes at 06:30 in the evening, however the classes are divided into morning and day sections.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the course the b.com because I want to become the CA but after completing the graduation my family condition was not very good so I quit my studies and searching for the job. My dream was after B.com then I complete M.com then CA but I couldn't do that. I'm pursuing because I'm interested in understanding how businesses work and want a solid foundation in commerce and finance. It opens up various career paths in accounting, finance, management, and more. Plus, it's a versatile degree that can lead to professional certifications like CA, CS, or MBA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum is Comprehensive, focused equally on Academics and Practical Exposure.. I chose because of that extra year of research I can choose to do in my final year (4th year) of graduation and I'll have an Hons. Degree at the end of 4th year of my college... Practical insights makes sure we are being trained to tackle practical world and academic knowledge ensures we are eligible to apply for further Education.. I will say more focus on Practical Exposure and a little extra focus on Sports May Take This Curriculum to a different level..
