The course curriculum is really good, and the college exams are conducted on a yearly basis. The college is affiliated with Jiwaji University, which is situated in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
I got 8000 for the internship; many companies come here with a good package for students.
The placements were good; many of them went to good companies. It was good advertising. Jobs were more, and small internships were given to people.

Dislikes

After studying this course, students usually go for a Masters degree instead of applying for other jobs, unless any unforeseen circumstances occur.
Our Union party offers free books to very poor families who cannot afford to buy any. We, the Union students, provide this offer.
You have to take a flat nearby or have to stay with friends in a nearby mess.

Vivekananda College Review

The location of the college is good as it is just beside a Metro station and you can avail several bus/auto services also.
The teachers are good, Internships are provided during the 4th semester for gaining experience. The college organises several fests and events so it has a good campus life and social engagement.
The Infrastructure is good as compared to other Govt. Colleges, you also get to avail some learning facilities. The course curriculum is overall good.

Dislikes

The College website could be developed and made more user friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The College is well reputed and specially the Commerce department. It is better than many Govt colleges. I wanted to go for the field of Finance so I chose this course. The curriculum is being improved and updated to make sure it helps the students in real world applications but it can be developed much more. The Teaching methods are nice but the Course curriculum is not that great and you can't expect high salary after following the curriculum. The frequency of exams are low and their difficulty level are mid.

Class are not taken in time sometimes we have to wait for teachers..

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chooses Bsc chemistry hons. Actually chemistry is my favourite subject i like the chemical reaction and organic and its influenced me to choose this course. This chemistry also helps in real world such as perfume making and many things in food is chemistry. The college should increase the lab and theory classes to help and understand the students. The exam system give 3hrs to compete 75 marks of examination its level is moderate.

Our college is very eco-friendly the campus is so beautiful and it is made with lot of plants and flowers we felt so calm in the college campus it is very prominent environment for our studies
Our faculty members are very friendly the always helps us in every step our very own HOD is so friendly and she is available for each and every help anytime
Our college is not just about studies it's include so many other activities which improves our ability in every field we have drama club debate club and so many other clubs we got to attend seminar monthly and also our college arrange so many fests

Dislikes

Sometime our faculty don't provide the information about not taking class at time which is really bad for the students who live so far from college
Our college doesn't have many sports material
Our college doesn't have a big canteen where all students can sit and eat our canteen is short

The course curriculum is very good I choose this course because I love this subject and our senior had told me that our department is so good and so it is this course prepares me for being a good teacher in future or to serve animals and insects in future

A Balanced Perspective of Life at Vivekananda College, Thakurpukur

We have a big campus where we can celebrate our college life also there is a big library too focus on your study
Our college celebrate all the special events grandly and this all grand celebration things made our campus life too enjoyable
Except 1-2 teachers most of them were too much friendly to all the students.they also support us to provide career advancement

Dislikes

The college mostly focus on their functions and events and less on student's syllabus
There are certain flaws in their infrastructures but it is not a big problem
The ration of girls and boys in our college is 3: 1

And my is so good for the teaching methods.
And my college is so need and clean,beautiful

The teachers behavior so rudely and very angry
And the placements service is not good .

The environment of the college is very good.
The department is very clean and tidy.That should be there.
The style of study in the college is very modern which is very noticeable and the library is very big.

Dislikes

The quality of the canteen food is very bad and the price is very high
Even if the college has major maths, it is always filled for union students as well. Normal students are rarely seen.
The bathroom of the college is very clean. It remains the same even after complaining

According to my opinion this course has become more difficult to study and study according to the rules. We get less time to complete the syllabus.Exams started before the completion of syllabus in college.

Everything about Vivekananda College

Likes

The very friendly Behavior our teachers, They help us During our Exams by providing guidance and Support.
The Open atmosphere around our college That includes The green nature, The wide campus and The classrooms are bright enough to study during the off periods
Also Our campus is totally ragging free And If a student is getting bullied, we also have anti ragging department for their mental health

Dislikes

Sometimes Attendance is an issue, If you have problem you better inform that To your Department HOD teacher and otherwise you'll have to answer a lot of interrogation
The canteen should be a little more hygienic and They should think about the price of the food they're providing
Very few of our teachers Often stay absent and don't inform in the college group for the students

I've always been loving The English language and literature, That's why I've taken this course for 3 years undergraduates. Our department Head had always been Very generous and providing important meterials of the next examination.

Teachers are very friendly and corporative
The campus is full of greenary and taken care of the plants.
The admistrative structure is very helpful

The canteen food not so good but very pricey
Washroom are not so cleaned or well maintained
Benches int he classroom are not too strong

Exams are after every 5-6 months . The teachers provide ample of notes and guidance before exams. They even provide knowledge of outer world and commerce related topics for general knowledge . I'm very much happy to choose my course and fulfilling my degree without any problem

The tour of Vivekananda College

The college Professors are well learnd. They will provide all the important notes you need.
The library stock is amazing. It has so books that helps you not to buy books on every semester.
The college arranges various programmes on Special days. That is different from other colleges.

Dislikes

The canteen is quite overpriced. Quantity also very little.
College has a Union that is unnecessary.
Not all the departments, but some of the department have manipulation problem. If you can manipulate, you can rise.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I want to be a journalist from younger age. That's why I choose the subject. And the Journalism department is very prestigious in whole South Kolkata. They will help you learn the outer knowledge also. Practical classes are very helpful. The exam held after 4/5 months. This time helps to cover the syllabus and practical classes helps a lot
