NIT Durgapur

Curriculum does not influenced me to choose the course in the college ,but a lot of IT companies allows to sit in the placements thats why I have decided to take the couse . Not much the curriculum prepares us for real world applications because of too old curriculum . Curriculum has to be changed and useful according to the real world applications and industrial applications.Then teaching will be better. In end semester exams it will be of 60 marks each subject and need to be written in 180 minutes and mid sem consists of 25 marks to be written in 90 minutes

Microsoft offered 8 students internhip with stipend of 100000 per month and nvidia offered 3 students with a stipend of 75000 per month. Goldmannsachs offered 5 students with 60000 per month internship and many other companies offered internships

Campus placements are decent enough .From third year onwards students are eligible for the internship opputtunities and in final year students get a lot of campus placement opputunities.Top companies like microsoft ,Nvidia, Goldmannsachs etc. are visited for internships with 10,3,5 students recpectively offering Rs.100000,75000 and 60000 respectively per month internship. Highest package from our college is 51LPA.5 students offered this from microsoft and average package of our college is 7 LPA. 75-80 percentage of studens get placements .10 percent students opt for higher education and rest were unemployed

Registration fee per semester=16300 Hostel fee per semester =19600 Hostel fee increases every semester We get NSP scholarship Rs.41000 every year In 1 st year we get extra laptop bill of Rs.45000 in the Scholarship

We have big festivals in our college one is aarohan which is technical fest and other is recstacy which is cultural ,but they have not celebrated last year where director of our college not allowed to do. We have projectors in our classes decent enough to teach along with white boards. Sports facilities are not good ,every year Inter NIT tournment conducted for all NITs for that to travel we dont even get funds from our college and no proper jerseys we get. A lot of clubs were there in our college to grow like coding clubs, music club ,dance club and society club etc.

In hostel rooms we get wifi facility where speed is maximum 2mbps. In some of hostel meal quality good but quantity they give os less and rest of hostels quality not great and they get good quantity. Every year we need to register for new hostel at the starting of the semester.With hostel fee photos attached to it

I have opted top 10 NITs according to my jee rank with coureses CSE,ECE and EE .But unfortunatly according to my rank I got National Institute of technology ,Durgapur with Electrical Engineering course.

Good faculty to student ratio and decent faculty to student relation not great and they are always available SN Mahato sir was great gives good lectures. JCB sir gives worst experience for us ,he takes a lot of extra classes to abuse students. Every semester we have mid sem ,end semester and laboratory viva.Difficulty level depend on the faculty .20 percent students fail to clear exams.curriculum is too old.

No particular hangouts but me and my friends play volleyball everyday after the classes to chill out.Gym timings are very less not even good .morning one hour and evening one hour only it will be open ,equipment also not good and no proper equipment.We have less cafetteria in our campus management not allows yo have caffeterias inside campus ,we have 2 only. For first years intime is 6:30pm hostel rest no timing restrictions.And campus intime from out side is 10:00pm
