- Several societes for people with hobbies and interests other than academics
- Decent infrastructure having well built roads
- Strict actions against indiscipline activities
Dislikes
- Strict 75 percent attendance criteria putting a lot of stress to sit in class even when we are not interested
- Very high home state reservation of 85 percent leading to dilute student quality
- Too serious curriculum putting a lot of academic pressure and not leaving time for hobbies other than studies
Course Curriculum Overview
Honestly for me i only chose this course because this was best one according to my rank.Strict curriculum though is hectic but does prepare us for pressure handling.As much as improvement is concerned i feel remove not so usefull subejcts in first year and getting straight to point in branches like cs(coding) would be great.Exams mostly are manageable specially endsem,midsems are a bit tricky though.
Internships Opportunities
Internship offer are from a lot of companies like Google, Microsoft etc but they are more limited in comparision to placement numbers,stipend is company subjective going upto 2 lakhs per month for 2 months for giants like google.
Placement Experience
My college has decent placement while there has been a dip in placement due to recent war situation in israel and russia causing a bad market condition,still my college has fair placement scenario as i am from cs i only know about its placement so the thing is if you manage to acquire good skills and decent cgpa that is over 8 you should be good to go.7 semester students are eligible for placement almost all major companies come here
Fees and Financial Aid
I am paying around 2.5 lakhs a year and since i am a general category Student with father bein a stable earning man i am not really eligible for most of the scholorship.There are several categories of students in my class.DASA student pay more fees than us due to holding citizenship from different country like someone from usa would pay around 33 lakh for four years while someone from middle east around 18 lakhs.Rest category students pay normal fees.
Campus Life
Two major fests take place one is resonance in October and moksha is second taking place in march.Library is vast with good collection and first year classrooms are excellent prolly the best thing about infrastructure is the apj halls for first year sports facilities are good as well with an excellent race track and a basketball field there are a lot of societies but as i am more on introvert side i didnt join any
Admission
Since i was in delhi nsut,dtu,iiit delhi and iit delhi were in my radar Had a bad jee adv rank 11k so iit delhi was out IIIT delhi has double the fees and being from middle class i couldn't afford.So dtu and nsut were the final options i choose nsut because i got csai there which had best students among the jac applying people. Jee mains is the exam to get here for my branch you need to have atleast under 10k rank
Faculty
We have 2 class test,2 viva and a midsem and end sem internals hold 30 marks midsem holds 20 and endsem holds 50.Faculty are all right not too great not too bad.Mostly Student clear exams due to endsem having a very easy format.Curiculum in first year is not much relevent as we have subject like chemistry physics but after first year it gets perfectly on track.
Night Life
Since i am a dayscholor,i dont have a night life ass such but my friends memtioned it not being very interesting due to strict hostel timing and no cafes inside campus.Outside we have vegas mall for riches and dwarka mor for affordable table outing
