Likes

The environment of the college is extremely peaceful for studying
The faculty is great, like the teachers are knowledgeable.
There are various seminars most everyday along with the classes that one can attend if has a free lecture wuth i think is extremely nice became its great for skill enhancement.

Dislikes

The communication is not ckear to an extent . Like the important notoces go unnoticed by a lot of students because they dont get the information on time.

Course Curriculum Overview

Along with the subjects as your majors you can opt for extra credit subjects and the variety of subjects offered in that is great. Although can be said that the timetable might be a little hectic one wont get much free lectures. Most your day will be occupied and back to back lectures.

Class Size: 1000Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Intership opportunities as such i have no idea as i haven't received any but for pg student's i think internship opportunities are given. I dont know exactly if they are available or not but most probably they are provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fee for BA is around 30000. Extra examination fee is tp be faid during the each semesters final exam. There is fee concession for ST, SC , BPL etc. Fees of most courses varries from 30000 to 40000.

Campus Life

There is a variety if clubs one can join . NCC and NSS these can also be joined by one. NCC gives a great experience to one which is a great boost of confidence for one and career wise too. The campus is great to, there are a variety of gardens where one can sit the groud the library and reading room with are a great place to sit and chat , study .

Admission

Admission is on the basis of your 12th percentage for graduation and about the pg i have no idea. It a good college, being a girls college i feel personally more secure in it. One can consider admission here if wants to focus on academics.

Faculty

The faculty is approachable. The faculty student relationship is also great like faculty is reachable and reliable . We have Mid semester tests that are added in the internals and we have end semester final exams that are around december and may.

Night Life

Library closes at 7pm. Hostel timings differ in winters and summers in summers is 6 pm and in winters is 5pm. Market is in 5 minutes walking distance from college where you'll get everything from eating places to stationary. Locality is safe to roam aroud at night.

The Best Life of PGGC-11

Placement Experience:

Obviously the placements are offered in the final year but due to the NEP 2020. Various interships are provided to the students of even first year ones. Companies like Airtel, Amazon India, BYJU's, HCL, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, etc have offered placements to the students in their companies. The average package students can expect is around 2-3 lakhs per annum and the highest package would be around 10-15 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placements varies from 5-7% only.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As of i know the ggdsd college of chandigarh is considered the best college in chandigarh, and their psychology program is really good and that's why i choose it. The curriculum prepares us in many ways, they organize different types of activities and they even tell us about interships and how to grab them. I don't think that the curriculum needs any type of improvement, it is quite good. I don't have any problem with the frequency and the timing of the exams and their difficulty is also on medium-hard level.
