- One thing I really appreciate about Rajagiri is the quality of teaching. The faculty here know their stuff and are always ready to help. They focus on making sure we understand the concepts and don’t just mug up for exams.
- The campus life at Rajagiri is vibrant and fun. There’s always something happening—technical fests, hackathons, debates, and even cultural programs. Joining clubs like SAE and participating in events has been one of the best parts for me.
- well-equipped labs, a spacious library, and peaceful areas to study or just chill. The placement team also does a great job. They organize workshops, mock interviews, and keep us prepared for placements. I’ve seen many seniors land solid jobs.
Dislikes
- The academic workload during exams can be pretty overwhelming. With assignments, internals, and exams all piling up at once, it gets hard to focus on actually learning. A bit more breathing room between deadlines would help balance things better and
- Parking on campus is a hassle. There just aren’t enough spaces for the number of students and faculty, and it gets chaotic, especially during events
- The ongoing metro construction near the campus causes heavy traffic during peak hours. It’s a bit of a headache, especially for those driving to college.
Course Curriculum Overview
When I chose this course at Rajagiri, I was drawn to the mix of theory and practical learning, but honestly, it hasn’t been smooth sailing. The curriculum is decent, with a few industry-relevant topics, but some parts feel outdated and repetitive. There’s too much focus on rote learning, and even the practical sessions often feel rushed and underwhelming. A lot of it is just following steps without understanding the bigger picture, which defeats the purpose of "hands-on learning." The timing of exams and assignments makes things worse. Everything seems to pile up at once—assignments, internals, lab submissions, and finals all crammed into the same few weeks. It’s exhausting and overwhelming, and it doesn’t leave much room to actually understand or absorb the material. The constant pressure can take a toll on your mental health, especially when you’re juggling multiple deadlines with barely any support. What’s missing, in my opinion, is flexibility and a student-first approach. The teaching methods are outdated in some areas—just lectures and slides most of the time. A more interactive approach, or even focusing on current tech trends, would make classes far more engaging and useful. Rajagiri does have its good moments, but the way the workload is structured and the lack of focus on actual learning can make it really hard to stay motivated. It often feels like you’re just going through the motions to get through the semester, and that’s not how education should feel.
Internships Opportunities
Most interships are unpaid, mostly in kmrl, kseb and other low tier companies No idea about this rn because I am in my second year and I haven't looked into placements yet. I am planning on doing it next semester
Placement Experience
Students become elegible for placement by sem 6 TCS, wipro, royal Enfield, TATA Elexis, Montra, ibis, accenture etc. are some of the major companies Highest is around 12LPA, average is around 5LPA Around 80% placement for computer science and 60% for circuital branches I plan to get placed or move abroad for higher studies

Campus Life
Abhiyantrika, techkshetra etc. are the technical festivals here. Library is huge and we also have department specific libraries Just a smart projector Sports is very mid, table tennis, football, basketball, kabaddi, badminton etc. Litrature, debate, media, space, IEEE, music, IIC, IEDC clubs etc.
Admission
None, except for CUSAT, i didn't get selected. I chose management seat via keam entrance exam. There is no cutoff, just need to pass keam and have decent score in 11&12th boards. Admission experience was extremely smooth
Faculty
Idk the faculty to students ratio unfortunately. The faculty is approachable and helpful (atleast most of them). Thomas KP, Renu George, Caroline Ann, Lakshmanan etc. Are some of the amazing professors. They're passionate about their subjects and care for us I don't dislike any teaching staff or professors, I really hate the college management tho, especially Jaison Paul principal, he has been the worst thing to happen to Rajagiri 5-6 subjects per semester so two internals and one end semester exam, so around 1 exam every 1.5 months We have a pass percentage of anywhere from 70-85% Curriculum is the same as KTU but more up to date topics
Night Life
Gym is extremely mid. Library and cafes are AWESOME. day scholar here so idk abt hostel Hangout places?.its infopark, so anywhere in kochi is accessible, lulu mall, restaurants, cafes, gaming lounge, walking areas, couple spots? You name it
