Fees and Financial Aid

For students pursuing Electronics and Communication Engineering, fee structure around 75000 and caution deposit must be exercised regarding certain provisions. A merit based fee waiver is available for 10 selected students, offering financial relief. Additionally, for NRI donation are included for NRI students. Management quota students are required pay only caution deposit along with the normal tuition fee. However exam fee and hostel fee are separate and must be paid accordingly.

Campus Life

Campus life at Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology is not that vibrant. There are fests but is not much entertaining.Fest like Abhiyantriki and Tekshetra Baratham.The library is well stocked.

I chose Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology due to its faculty, strong industry communication, placement and wel-structured ECE curriculum. The admission is straightforward based on merit and entrance exam like KEAM. The eligibility requires a solid academic score in high school.

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

From 6th semester onwards students are eligible for internship and placement opportunities. Main companies visiting the campus are IBM , TCS ,TATA ELXSI,L&T, Cognizant,Toshiba,Vanenburg,Kalkitech,Sobha,Mrf ,Juspay,Dynolt and many more. 70 % students get placement Highest package is 16 lpa and average is 5 lpa After degree higher studies can be considered.

Placement Experience:

The placements here are quite good, but not great. Because only 50% of students in a class are getting placed. From S7 onwards the placements have been started for our department. But for other departments, from S8 only companies have arrived. For CSE department, many companies are coming which include Cognizant, SOTI, Mitsogo, EY, 6D Technologies, etc. Our senior batch students have placed at many companies in this. But comparing with other senior batches, the placements at our batch is really bad.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

The college is in a prime location in the heart of kochi. It has easy access to all emergency services and to the town in general. It is a famous college known for its reputation and legacy. Rajagiri Engineering college where engineers are built

I did write the exam for SRM and VIT but then since I wanted to study in kerala I chose rajagiri school of engineering and technology. Also rajagiri is a well reputed college which produces excellent engineers with innovative ideas, I wanted to study and build my career here.
