Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is really designed well so that it helps us in the industrial point of view. But sometimes we students feel like its a lot to study.but its not really a big deal we have every subject divided into 4 units each for the exams each unit carries 25 marks the one suggestion would probably be increasing the lenght of the semesters by a bit so that we students dont have to rush to finish the portion and have time to understand the topics even better right now each semester is of 4 months including the exams

Internships Opportunities

4

My senior friends have been offered with internships from flipkart with a good stipend. Im not reallys ure abouthow much but its a good offer we have to do a project called the capstone project over 4 semester which decides your gpa as well as the placement process

Placement Experience

4

students are eligible for placements from the 5th sem, basically for internships total placements from the 7th sem many companies like infosys, apple, ibm, oracle often visit the campus for placement the highest package from pes was in 2022 with a good package offered of 2.02 Cr if im not wrong after getting the degree i plan to sit for the campus placements, if i dont get a good offer i'll proceed for masters

Fees and Financial Aid

Im doing a course in Electronics and communications engineering(ECE). Its a 4 year course and my fee per year is 4 lakhs. so its gonna be 16 lakhs for 4 years. for my batchmates, for CSE the fee is 4.5 lakhs for cse aiml it is 4.2 lakhs for biotech its 3.5 lakhs There are scholarships available If you are in the top 5% sgpa students, you get 50% of ur sem fee back, its called the MRD scholarship If you are in the next top 20% of sgpa students, you get 40% of ur fee back, its called the CNR scholarship There is DAC scholarship of 2000 rs for everyone with a cgpa of 7.5+

Campus Life

4

There are many fests by the college which is always fun and never disappointing our annual fet is called AATMATRISHA we have huge artists coming everytime, we had SHAAN come to PES for aatmatrisha'24 We have 4 different libraries with multiple books available. Sports is always good too and the clubs there are mulitble clubs in college including tech and non tech clubs clubs host a lot of fun events and hackathons too

Admission

I chose this college becuase this college has made good placements over time for students and they offer good teaching as well and had really good reviews too. I did apply for other colleges, but i found this college the best, considering it is in bangalore which is the best for me to travel and not stay away from home. the admission process was quiet simple We have to give an entrance examination called pessat And according to ur rank you'll be called for counselling and i got ece through pessat in counselling

Faculty

4

The faculty is really good, we have many teachers who have done their PhD. they are always available to clear doubts, either in college or through mails or whatsapp. The exams- we have two internal exams called ISAs And one end sem exam(ESA) ISA is for 40 marks each which is then reduced down to 20 marks each ESA is for 100 which is reduced down to 50 marks Assignments 10 marks Which makes it 20+20+10+50=100 total ISAs include 24 marks MCQ questions and rem 16 marks descriptive And ESA is only descriptive

Night Life

4

IM not really sure about the nightlife as im not a hostelite but a day scholar. but the after college hours are usually fun, hanging out with friends or attending some event that's going on after the college hours we have a street next to the college road which is really famous for food we get the best food in there the gym is available too girl's hostel is outside college without a curfew timing of 7pm And boy's hostel is inside the college with a curfew time of 10:30 pm

Placement Experience:

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th sem. The highest on campus package this year was around 64 LPA, while as far as I know, the top 20% of the students usually get offers in the 16-24LPA range.
