Course Curriculum Overview

3

Like I said this before, this is upto you.. in India no college will teach you about hacking.. they'll just tell you the basics.. in the 4 years of ug you have to work on your skills, and you have to work hard.. I just have one request, stop asking students to code on papers. In workplace we won't code on papers.. so put more pressure on practical.. we are going through the assesment exams right now.. we just completed CA1 and we don't know when we have to go through CA2 and CA3, and also we got our semester dates.. like how can a student adjust all these just after joining the college.. give us some time to adjust.. we take admission in the college around August. And it takes around September mid to start the classes.. how can we complete the syllabus in 4 months and appear for the exams in January, with tons of assessment works..

Placement Experience

3

If you want better placements don't just stuck on the college studies.. give your extra times to learn skills.. like if college is teaching you c and c++, go home and dig deeply on that language, learn yourself.. college will get the opportunity for you to get job, but it's upto you after that.. if you can't get job after an interview that's your fault not college's. So work on yourself. Average package is 5-6 lakhs but if you work on yourself you can get high packages. Like this year or the previous year someone got 51lpa.. college doesn't matter, your skill does.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the time of admission you have to pay 70500+9400 that's 1st sem fees and admission fees. Then 55500 for 2nd sem, 52500 for 3rd sem, 52500 for 3rd sem, and 51,500 for the remaining sems.. you can apply for Swami vivekananda scholarship if you score more than 60%.

Campus Life

4

There are several technical fests in the college, like devfest, hackathons etc.. You can get books from the library, but at first you have to get a Library card. Smart classes are there.. like there will be projector to explain things more accurately. There are courts for different sports, like badminton, basketball, and there's a gym. tt table. Maybe there was an eSports tournament. I forgot

Admission

I wanted to go to Narula institute in Kolkata, I had done most of the work.. but because of some unavoidable reasons I couldn't go.. it was a family matters.. so I had to stay here and look after my family.. so I decided to join in this college..

Faculty

4

The relationship is fine between teachers and students. I mean you have to attend the college to make good relationship with teachers.. and If I talk about exams. It's on makaut.. they can do anything. Suppose you're giving your CA1 exams and the next day makaut will announce the next examination dates.. they have no assurance on exams dates.

Night Life

4

There's a gym beside the canteen area. And a Library, you've to get a Library card for that. Canteen area in case you're hungry.. Timings kinda odd. Like we have your classes from 2.10 pm to 5.30 pm. We generally hangout at the canteen area during college times.. but after the college ends, there are multiple cafes outside of the college, we hang out there..

Course Curriculum Overview:

I've always found economics to be really interesting and thats why I choose to persue it. I wanted to dive deep into the actual concepts and workings of the economy and understand how the world works from an economist's point of view. Sadly the curriculam doesnt bridge the gap between theory and real life. It focuses heavily on textbook and not how the world works.

The curriculum for the Physical and Inorganic chemistry are upto the mark and I felt improvement in teaching style and curriculum is required for Organic Chemistry part. The difficulty of Internal examination can be improved a bit.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course is good but you have to opt for masters and PhD to get a good placement. After bsc there's not any placement. The curriculum was basically practical and theoretical based. But I think it should be more practical so that we can get a job after doing bsc. The teaching method was good I didn't have any problem with that. As it was under Calcutta University so the exam questions were too difficult, sometimes it came out of our syllabus , i think they should change this a little bit .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The syllabus for BSc. Microbiology Hons. was in line with my interests. Few topics like virology, bacteriology, and diversity of the microbial workd are what drew my attention to pick this course. Although there are some portions which one would consider "boring", but I believe every subject has its interesting as well as boring portions. It's seems fair to judge a subject by seeing if the "boring" portions outweigh the "interesting" parts or not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In terms of relevance and comprehensiveness of the course curriculum, my rating is solid 4.1 out of 5. Because it offers a variety of courses like compulsory english, environmental science, constitution values of India, Inter Disciplinary Courses where one can opt for a variety of subjects which change along with the course proceeds or semester changes. Not only that two major papers and one minor paper are present throughout the semester. As a student we should be well aware of our country and its law as well as how we can keep our environment healthy followed by sustainable development.
