My college experience

Posivtive thing is environment, college's environment , gurudwara gives us peace. library is also good and wide. There is no ground or lawn in college where students can breathe in fresh air, where they can sit and study groupwise.

Exam structure is good as the college is affiliated to University of Delhi. But the course i took is not so good. I'm saying the thing bcz semester system is there, semester is of around 4 months. Out of which 1 month is of fests, events and many more.Out of which ,1 week mid semester break holidays, after that around 1 week mid semester exams, then practicals, tests etc also take lot of time. Even how can I forget academic holidays. So we get a very short period of time for understanding and then as the sem ends, everything changed.

Can't say anything about placements as computer science is new course in this college. I'm in 2nd year and I've not seen or heard about any course related internship yet. Internship opportunities come but not related to computer science.

In Events or celebrations, college is good. They celebrate all events,i.e. career talk, how to solve problems, how to face interview,etc., organize talks on various topics, annual day, foundation day, sports day, etc.

Fees is 25000 per year. As this is a government college and accordingly fee is expensive. Fees of computer science is more than other courses everywhere but comparatively our college has more fee than other du colleges.

College provide scholarships but I didn't get any scholarship from college even I had applied for the scholarship. I've no idea regarding loan as I've not applied for that. But yah, I've not got the scholarship.

In field of extra activities, college is very very good. There is a gidda team, divinity society, solo dance, singing , sports ground, and many more. Also one can learn languages over there,spanish, french, german,etc.

There is no hostel facility for students. Outstaion students live in pgs. And paying around 12-14k per month according to my own experience, as I'm also living in pg. There is need for hostel. From pg, they have to come college by spending fair on bus, auto or via metro and that is more expensive.

The course is new in our college. So there are no seniors, this also creates problem for us, bcz there is no guide for us with whom we can talk regarding future. Yes , teachers talk on this topic but understanding also matters.

Faculty is not bad overall but also in my course, there are no very well experienced teachers. Teachers are experienced, even around a month before a teacher get retired, she was HOD of Mathematics. HOD of computer science, Ms Sonia Mam, she is also good, Ms Gurpeet, Ramita Mam, Karuna Mam, their way of talking is good. Dr. Nidhi is like over friend. And that's all.
