Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is well structured . The curriculum has included various courses. It has included various programming languages which might be useful later. This year there was only one sessional exam. The difficulty level of exam is pretty moderate. If one studies regularly he will get good marks

Internships Opportunities

4

Various internship opportunities are available here. Students can go to IIT Guwahati for internships. I do not much about stipend since I am new here. Various projects are done by the students which help them prepare the world outside

Placement Experience

4

The placement in my college is moderate Various companies and startups visit here every here. OIL, NRL, ONGC, BCPL visit here specially for petroleum and mechanical students But still it is hard to get placed here as only the top students are allowed to sit in interviews. I plan to prepare for GATE later.

Fees and Financial Aid

Admission fees- Rs 10645 First sem to Third sem- Rs 50000 Fourth sem to Last sem - Rs 40000 Various scholarships can be availed by under privileged students. Scholarships include Ishan Uday, Nijut moina and many others from NSP portal

Campus Life

5

May different festivals and sports tournaments are held here. The annual sports festival VERCITY week is the most anticipated. There is a large central library with lots of books and magazines available. Various student run clubs and societies are also found here.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are spacious and comfortable. There are both single and double rooms available here. Electricity is provided 24 hours along with wifi facilities. The quality of food in hostel is not that good but edible. The hostel is quite affordable.

Admission

This college is near to my home and have heard my good things about here. I was also alloted a seat in BBEC and BVEC To get admission here one need to clear in JEE mains and CEE exam. One must get more than 60% in class 12 exam

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio of my branch is 1:53 which is acceptable. Faculties are quite friendly. They are very approachable. I do not specifically like a single faculty since all of them are helpful and friendly

Placement Experience:

The placements here are actually decent. The average package for my branch was around 13.5 LPA last year and branches like CSE, EC and EI have a higher average package generally. The campus is visited by almost all of the top companies including Google, Adobe, Facebook, etc. The detailed placement records are available on the website of the institute. The percentage of students getting placed ranges anywhere between 70 percent to 92 percent. I plan to get an M.Tech degree after completing my B.Tech course from an IIT if possible.
